It was an amazing stay, the cabin was amazing, has everything you need including some games to play, there is also a bbq area, bed was really comfortable. In the morning we saw the parrots, fed the pony a carrot and got to see the chickens and cows. In the night we also saw some possums and wallabies.

Absolutely great B&B. Service is at seven stars, with Stuart going a few extra miles and Judy really being super helpful and caring. Place is very well tun, clean, all the amenities necessary are there. Breakfast is mostly locally produced, with lemon butter, bread and jams doing the trick! Highly recommended!

A lovely seaside town.

A lovely seaside town. We visited during cooler weather, so didn’t go swimming. I enjoyed walking on the beach and along the paths either direction from town. Shelly Point was lovely for exploring rock pools.

Great location.

Great location. We based ourselves there to do day trips to other tourist spots such as Bicheno, Wine Glass Bay and St Helens. Great coffee at both the cafe's in Scamander - River Mouth cafe has a very relaxed vibe with amazing views.

Would not recommend to those seeking a bit of luxury as this place has really only got 2 things in its favour ,,,POSITION and BEACHES otherwise it is a very dated 1980,s style hotel and the condition of the rooms reflect that. Now don't get me wrong the rooms where clean and well presented and the facilities where adequate. But the view and position can not be beat for those that love beach walks and fishing and such. All this is reflected in the price as it is very affordable and convenient, :As at the time of this visit they are rebuilding the top floors and renovating the hotel bit by bit .

Love the hotel but the older lady at reception is rude and very unwelcoming.....she said she had no rooms but I could clearly see on line that there was room 7 rooms in all 5 full queen rooms...I find it disappointing that the staff lady did not want guests is just staying as she also turned others away not good..and for her to have a go at me after I went online and booked a rooom I find it very unprofessional..cheer linda..

The motel was very good and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Great service, friendly staff and delicious food. I hadn't heard the term gummy shark since my childhood and it lived up to my expectations, sweet boneless white flesh. Just across the road for the beach and coffee shop! GREAT.

Its location opposite the beach. Very friendly staff. During the first night of my stay there was a terrific storm with unprecedented rainfall which caused extensive flooding in the locality. The main hotel building and owner’s accommodation was flooded but their attention was focussed on the guests whilst attempting their own clean up operation and clearance of flood water.

I regularly stay at Scamander Beach Resort, the views over the ocean are amazing, this property is always impeccably clean and well presented, the staff are friendly and the meals in the restaurant and the bar are tasty with a regularly changing menu. Although this is an older property it is fantastic value and a great deal can always be found.

The location was great. Scamander Hotel easy walk for a pub meal. Easy walk to the beach. Quiet. Beautiful gardens. Great vibe. Really nice to be able to take my dog too. Great water pressure in the shower.
