My stay at this hotel was wonderful! The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities I needed, plus it was incredibly convenient - just steps away from the penguin beach. But what truly amazed me was their outstanding integrity. After I checked out, I realized I'd left my treasured watch behind. I was heartbroken, thinking it was lost for good. Imagine my immense relief and gratitude when the hotel manager contacted me! Not only had they found and safely stored it, but they kindly offered to mail it back to me in Hong Kong. The joy of getting my watch back was incredible. This genuine care and going the extra mile for a guest is truly rare and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much! Combined with the lovely room and perfect location, I highly, highly recommend this hotel. An outstanding experience!

The accomdation is quite nice, with spacious room and enough sunlight. We can even enjoy a great seeview in the living room. The room is also very clean and we have a good time here :)

The house itself is beautifully decorated and very cozy. The bathroom was incredibly spacious and the bed was super comfortable - I slept like a baby! The location is also great - it's close to everything you need but still feels peaceful and secluded. The best part of the stay, though, was definitely the host. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway!

Very clean and sweet room with exotic style to us which is fantastic. Easy parking behind the house. It is quiet at night although located just by the street. Quite near to the cafe for brunch.

Great little pretty village with lots of historical cottages...

Great little pretty village with lots of historical cottages, excellent pub meal & wine bar across the road. Lovely place to walk around and venture up the Nut, an old extinct volcano, by chair lift or walking track

The Nut is a must visit.

The Nut is a must visit. Be prepared for a 2Km walk to see all its features. We got caught in the rain so it wasn't pleasant. The hotel and Hurseys provided good meals. The weather can be brutal and curtail some activities - be prepared or time your holiday with temperate conditions.

The town is beautiful with many lovingly restored old houses. We were not expecting such an attractive place. The walk around the nut was good too, especially the views of course. Another highlight was seeing bumble bees enjoying the onion weed. We don't have them in Victoria. We highly recommend the cafe below the nut.

Well worth doing The Nut and the local restaurant Hursey's was a treat..... nice self guided tour of the historical town. Its also a pleasant drive to Stanley from Launceston with a lot of coast roads.

The town itself oozes charm.

The town itself oozes charm. We had the perfect lunch in the red pub close to the chairlift to the Nut. The lift up and back was brilliant but the walk around the top of the Nut was the highlight of our day. We did the walk in the clockwise direction which was perfect as this was easier on the legs. If your a senior this makes a difference!

Excellent location, short walk to restaurants, coffee shops and pub. Unique accommodation in former Bank building, historic and quirky. Hostess Petra and host Luke are a well travelled and very interesting couple, very welcoming and very involved in the local Stanley Community. As we had all worked and travelled extensively in Asian Countries, conversations were both interesting and hilarious. Highly recommended, viewing the Fairy Penguins “in the wild” was a beautiful and unique experience, don’t miss it.

Best stay in our this Tasmania trip. We all like this house, very clean and with nice view. They have everything in kitchen, we can cook Chinese and western food. Will definitely recommend to everyone, you should at least stay here for two nights!
