The location is excellent, as arriving from the North, we did not have to cross the city, we could leave the car at the hotel for $5 for a day and travel by train to the city and come back. The train station is a 5-minute walk, it is convenient.

We had to choose accomadation quickly as we were in Sydney due to the Cyclone shutting Brisbane airport. We definatly loved Holiday Inn Express. Yes we had to travel into Sydney but that made our unexpected visit fun. Oh and breakfast was excellent.

Excellent experience. I was there for a friend’s wedding and had the best time. The hotel and their staff were exceptional. Mall located right across the street was very useful for any last minute things I needed during my stay. Very convenient location for drivers and foot passengers.

Hotel clean with friendly welcomes from all the staff we met. The room was clean and fresh with good aircon, and the cleaning staff moved silently around our schedules. Good range of breakfast foods with cheerful musical chef Chris and other staff making a lovely atmosphere. Reception staff were helpful and friendly too. Located 5 Minute walk from the metro and Macquarie shopping centre.

Hotel is close to main road and is an easy walk to the station for city bound trains. Nice there is an in-house bar and restaurant. McDonald’s is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel, if that’s what you like. We arrived shortly before Christmas and the foyer decorations looked fantastic! Nice friendly staff.

Very central location for us, because our family live in...

Very central location for us, because our family live in Thornleigh. My husband was particularly pleased with the Bunnings opposite the hotel, as he bought a few items to repair something. Also, the petrol stations on this section of Pennant Hills rd, have fuel for $172.90 per litre. This was a much better price when we needed to refill our hire car. Along Pacific Hwy, fuel is $217.90.

I liked that it was in a leafy part of town and close to...

I liked that it was in a leafy part of town and close to access for the M1 and north Conex. also that there was a McDonalds nearby and that the station was only a 10-15min walk away and close enough to the city and also to the metro to not be too far to get to. It is pretty easy to find just follow pennant hills road up from the motorway.... to avoid any road noise, get a room on the rail side of the hotel at IBIS pr car park facing on the northern side... train meanwhile is about every 15 during the day and Epping not far away to then connect to the metro or the Newcastle train if u want a faster trip.... all in all, a lovely area to stay in... :)

Staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was basic but quiet, clean and comfortable reflecting the very reasonable daily tariff. My only criticism was a ten dollar per day surcharge on car parking and which was not clear or obvious on Booking.com website. Would stay again when in Sydney and would recommend to friends and family. Thornleigh was easy to access but limited in places to eat.

While we are in lockdown, staying in Thornleigh is a...

While we are in lockdown, staying in Thornleigh is a brilliant move. This suburb has historically had very low rates of Covid. If you want to avoid the standard chain hotel set-up, staying in this unit is a great move. This is also a short drive to the business hubs in Epping, Ryde, Chatswood. The hills, bush, and birds are as beautiful as in the nearby Lane Cove National Park.

We have stayed here quite often over the past 2 years.

We have stayed here quite often over the past 2 years. It has certainly gone down recently, but we like its close proximity to Newcastle expressway, a Bunnings store and two very good Asian restaurants for evening meals.

Ibis is a budget hotel, you cannot expect luxurious facilities. I prefer it over others because of cost. This Ibis hotel is located at the north end of Sydney. It is good an overnight stay for travellers heading to Brisbane. Close to A1 motorway. Close to some good restaurants and there is a huge 24 hrs McDonalds next to it. Check in and check out process was smooth. Was surprised to know the parking was not free and there were ample of parking spots vacant.

I always stay here when I visit Thornleigh. it is convenient, has on site parking and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Good value, neat and tidy rooms that were made up every day. very comfy beds
