This is a place you must book! It's less than 10 minutes from the main road. We drove rented Volkswagen Polo on a tarmac and gravel road to the accommodation and it was perfectly fine. The room is homey and comes complete with a kettle, hair dryer, free herbal tea, and a fridge. Most importantly, the mattress is very comfortable—just what you need after a hike. The accommodation is situated on the way to Perucica forest, Trnovacko Lake, and Maglic Mountain. It took us a 50-minute drive from here to the starting point for Trnovacko Lake. Danielo (the owner) was kind enough to share information about Sutjeska National Park and its surroundings. He shared details about hiking trails and activities available here. There are only two units at this camp, which makes it feel private and secluded. There are also two other campsites near this accommodation. A restaurant next to the accommodation, which belongs to Danielo's friend, is also available if you need a meal. There are restaurants and markets (small grocery shop) near to the main road.

Perfect little mountain house with an awesome location. The host was more than helpful, a great guy. Everything was clean with all the amenities that you would need, also there is a nice restaurant across the house. All in all, a great and very pleasant stay.

Everything was clean, furniture is all new and is nicely decorated. You have all you need for a cozy stay. Location of the haus is in a little village, in pristine nature with a lot of posibility for outdoor activitis. Owners are really great people with a lot of knowledge about the area, and can give you good advice what to see and where to go. There is a shop and restaurant close by. I was there in winter and to be honest cant wait to go back again hopefully this summer.

What a magical little find this was on our road trip with our friends in a camper who were allowed to park next to us. The location is amazing with beautiful views. The host was so friendly and welcoming. The shower inside the house was lovely and clean and the toilet was clean and well maintained. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It's an old farm house which is beautifully decorated. Children said that it's like living at museum. The location is really peaceful with great views. You have everything you need at the house. House cat greeted us on arrival and one morning there was herd of sheep behind the fence. The real country life. We had just two nights to make a hike to Maglić but it's worth to stay for longer next time. We didn't made our dinners at house. The nearest restaurant is probably Braća Kovačević which is located some 9 km towards Foča.

The location is fantastic, particularly if you're looking for somewhere to stay to climb Maglic, the highest mountain in Bosnia. The hosts can also offer a car to hire to drive the 25km to the start of the route up the mountain. Don't try to drive this road yourself; it looks fine to start but it quickly deteriorates. The hosts and other residents from the village were so friendly and helpful I was truly sorry to leave.

Whether or not you are a history buff wanting to walk the...

Whether or not you are a history buff wanting to walk the path and be reminded of one of the most important battles of the WWII, Tjentiste offers much more than that. Absolutely stunning nature, with a lot of trekking and site seeing options available, including the trip to neighbouring Perucica primordial forest, to water rafting on river Tara. I find this to be a perfect active holiday area with a lot of outdoors activities to chose from. Keep in mind that you are after all in the mountains and weather can be moody sp chose your dates wisely depending on the activities you wish to do, and plan your time and trip accordingly. Local people are helpful and open and just love the traditional food.

A wonderful place for hiking and enjoying pristine, unspoiled nature. Appropriate equipment is recommended for hiking. The monuments, which commemorate the victims of war with respect and honor, are particularly impressive.

Hotel Madlost is the ideal starting point for hikes in Sutjeska National Park if you can't or don't want to stay in a tent or campervan at a basic campsite on the mountain. It's a bit dated, but people go to Tjentiste because of the national park, and the staff are very friendly.

Tjentiste is a great base for exploring the surrounding area, especially the national park and Perucica. From rafting and canyoning to hiking, jeep tours, or simply enjoying nature and relaxing – everything is possible. And the natural beauty of this region is truly unique! The area is also still relatively untouched by tourism, which makes it even more appealing!

A visit to Europe's last remaining rainforest is truly...

A visit to Europe's last remaining rainforest is truly fantastic. Stunning views and beautiful scenery. From Tjentiste, you can also easily reach Montenegro. Just across the border is the Piva Canyon. Truly stunning!
