Enjoyed Grote Market and seeing the other sites of the city. Waffles were overrated. Chocolate was very good. You can bathe in the history and architecture of the city and that was wonderful. Surprised that it was not especially clean and the graffiti seemed everywhere. These issues soiled an otherwise great lady. Ibis Hotel Brussels Centre Midi is very close to Railway Station. We had tea at a restaurant on the other side of the railway station, as we couldn't find anything that we fancied around the hotel. You can't park cars around the railway station on Saturday nights as they have a street market on Sunday Morning and the Police remove any cars parked where the street market is held. It wasn't really that clear where parking wasn't allowed, which we didn't need to clarify, as we arrived and departed by train. Enjoyed what we saw of Brussels.Guest review byDonAustralia - 10.0

Fun city to visit.
Fun city to visit. Beautiful architecture, delicious chocolates, gorgeous smaller places around Brussels - Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp. One thing to be cautious about - watch out for pick pocketers. My cell phone was taken in broad daylight after I got off the train and was walking thru the station. Brussels city centre itself is pretty. But the second you leave the city centre it is horrific, rubbish thrown on every pavement, a lingering smell of rubbish and hundreds of homeless people.
