I ended up at this hotel in order to be on time for an early morning meeting in France. I wasn't expecting much of a hotel in the wilderness of the Ardennes. This place came as a very pleasant surprise. It is a little boutique hotel located in the charming village of Herbeaumont. It is surrounded by thick pine forests and the Semois river which are well worth exploring. The hotel itself is modern. The bedrooms are immaculately appointed with a very tasteful decor. Unusually, the furniture is of good quality - not the usual mix of cheap chipboard thoughtlessly thrown together. The hosts are a couple who run the pizzeria on the ground floor. Their pizzas are excellent and very good value for money. The pizzeria is also where they serve breakfast. I had an early start to make to get to my destination. The hosts obligingly woke up early to serve me an early breakfast - on a Sunday morning! It is unusual for me to write such a positive review. In this instance, it is richly deserved

Very friendly personell. After calling we could get a check-in at an usual time. The space was very large and spacious. Comfortable late check out time. Could not have been better. Close to the tourism buro where we got advise of several nice walking trails in the neighbourhood. Very competitive price compared to other venues in the wider area around Herbeumont. You can stay a few days and drive by car to a lot of interesting places around Herbeumont. We will sure come back to this venue next year or earlier.

Fabulous rooms, clean, lots of little unexpected extras which shows that much thought is given for customer comfort. We were visiting with another couple and they were equally impressed. The breakfasts were amazing, not just run of the mill croissants but freshly prepared with care and thought, different experience on each day, but made extra special with a small glass of prosecco on the breakfast table. Corunna also asked what time you would like to take breakfast which meant food was freshly prepared and the table laid out like a banquet. Each room has many different ornaments and unusual objects and given the amount of different pieces throughout the hotel it was spotless without a trace of dust. The small number of staff work extremely hard and the restaurant food is prepared with much care, and a very popular place to visit chill and chat. I don't have anything negative to say

Herbeumont is a very quiet village, a bit isolated, with more than just a basic grocery store in the village center, but that's part of its charm. It's ideal for walks, reading, and peace and quiet, but not suitable for teenagers.

I spent a day and a night there, it was very nice, we went hiking with my partner, there are several routes for all levels of hiking, a moment to meet up and chat while walking in beautiful forests.

Many beautiful walks in the area and also some sights worth seeing, such as the ruins of Herbeumont Castle, the viaduct over the Semois and the Meander of the Semois. There is a parking area for campers and camping on the banks of the Semois.

A very beautiful and peaceful town in the most beautiful...

A very beautiful and peaceful town in the most beautiful region of the Ardennes. There's an impressive castle ruin that's easily accessible on foot, close to the center of Herbeumont. A short climb and you can visit the castle for free. Definitely worth it!

A beautifully situated village.

A beautifully situated village. There are many hiking trails, and the Semois River is stunning. Unfortunately, many houses are empty, giving the village a somewhat desolate feel. Luckily, there's a mini-market, a bakery, and a brasserie that are open in May. The village becomes a bit more lively on weekends. For larger shopping trips, you can go to nearby Bertix.

The location is a good starting point for hiking.

The location is a good starting point for hiking. There are many forests and the terrain is very hilly (some sections are quite challenging). A bus service is available. Several attractions can be reached in a relatively short time.

The Ardennes are so nice and this hotel was it, too. Very calm, cosy and clean. We loved it here very much. The chief was very friendly and helpful with any questions. The breakfast is magnificent! Thank you!
