The beach in the city center is quite busy, especially on holidays, but the other beaches were very pleasant! We really enjoyed our stay without having to fight for a spot on the sand. We stayed between Rainha do Mar and Barra do Sai. If you like beaches without too many crowds, this is the right place!

I was surprised by the service, good food, and fair price.

I was surprised by the service, good food, and fair price. The locals are welcoming and receptive. The city is very clean and organized. I recommend Hotel Nils, Restaurante Infante, Panificadora Maycon, and the shrimp pastry I ate at Bar do Pedro in Itapema do Norte, which is right on the beach. Imagine a really good pastry, from the dough to the sensational filling!

There are several beaches in Itapoa, allowing travelers to choose between more lively and bustling ones and quieter ones. Many streets are unpaved, and there's no Atlantic Avenue, but overall it's a good place to relax.

The city lacks infrastructure, there aren't many options for...

The city lacks infrastructure, there aren't many options for nightlife like restaurants and bars, and for those using ride-sharing apps, Uber hardly accepts any trips. Choffer46 works better, but even then it's slow or they cancel many trips. We were lucky to get a partner driver who was kind, and we got his number for when we needed it. If you go by car, you won't have this problem.

I really liked the beaches.

I really liked the beaches. The Bom Tempero restaurant has an excellent lunch at a good price. And some shops have somewhat exorbitant prices. The Bom Sol pizzeria is also great. I also recommend Casa da Maria. Padaria Luma has delicious cheese bread.

The beach is very nice, with a pleasant temperature and clean. The city needs to improve its services; the shops take a long time to open, and I feel sorry if it's Christmas or New Year's, it's harvest time, and we have to make the most of it and not be stuck in line waiting for the bakery to open.
