The hotel is in an amazing location, far inside the Pantanal on a river, with wild animals and nature all around. Perfect to live the real Pantanal experience. They also offer some activities, we enjoy a lot the boat trip, where we could spot severals animals (tapirus, capibaras, an otters family, different acquatic birds, caimans...). The animals are really close to the structure anyway, you can spot from the hotel also.

To sleep in the boat in the middle of the Pantanal was amazing. We loved this place and we can recommend it. You MUST stay here more than 3 days to see everything - birds, snakes, jaguars and yes - people - and special thanks to Margarita who is excellent cooker and we had the best breakfasts and dinners there (Caipirinhas ♥♥♥) and to Adilio too because he is the best guid, he knows a lot of about nature and he is able to find Jaguars when it is not possible (April 20%) many thanks!!!

Caio and Bene the guides were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and really made our time at Aymara special! We loved getting to do canoe, walking and bike safaris, day and night safari drives (some at extra cost but good value!) and we saw such a diversity of wildlife. The jaguar expedition to Porto Joffre is not to be missed-truly a life changing experience to see a jaguar in the wild and, whilst it was a long day and additional cost, was so well organised and very worth it. The lodge itself is great with fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable and cool rooms (with air con which is very necessary in the Pantanal!). You feel very close to nature the whole time but are also in comfort. As an aside, it was very useful to be able to buy a wildlife guidebook and long sleeved top at the lodge. Staying at Aymara was the perfect way to see the wonders of the northern Pantanal-I highly recommend.
