Ubatuba has great beaches, but is very near centers of mass population. The result is easily accessible beach are swamped and the lowest common denominator is very low indeed. Will there are many expensive yachts, sailing boats and nice houses, the rich live behind razor wire and electric fences. Just a small town with folk-like atmosphere. The best beaches are far and you go by car or boat. It’s expensive if you have a big family. We enjoyed the beach of itamambuca and curral which are clean and beautiful and have access by car… I decided to pay for parking close… not very cheap but ok. Restaurants Alecrin and Raizes were excellent options for dinner. We saw big traffic going downtown, for us walk was a good option from the hotel to the aquarium and downtown (didn’t go to the aquarium because was full and long line, also not cheap). A short walk from the beach and marina, with wonderful views from the room and restaurant. The room we stayed in went directly to the poolside. It was very quiet and peaceful around. Breakfast was very good quality, with a vibrant selection of food, and you were able to place orders for hot food.
