Take Hwy 19A to Campbell River. It's just so beautiful. The Painters Lodge was a true hidden gem: 5 Star. Guests could book several different tours directly from the lodge. Loved Elk Falls hike and Rebecca's Spit hike on Quadra Island; great kayaking on Quadra Island too! Did not have enough time to walk all the different hikes in the area! Miracle Beach is a wonderful adventure just waiting to happen!! Fantastic Canada Day celebrations!!!Guest review byhunter - 6.0

We came for a Grandson's wedding which was held outdoors in a park. (Sorry, I forget the name) It was on a point of land by the float plane base. We did not get a lot of time to look around. Beautiful place to visit, excellent shops, sights, casino and restaurants. Very friendly residents. No racism experienced while visiting on every single trip. Go there about 12 times a year. This suite was a perfect layover with laundry, kitchen, big TV and a faux-fireplace/heater. Well appointed and thoughtfully finished; a romantic space for a couple. Bathroom is upscale. Friendly hosts. A short walk to the excellent museum and forest trails (daytime use), and the historic pier. The BC Transit stop is within half a block.
