We really enjoyed the Secwepemc Museum.
We really enjoyed the Secwepemc Museum. It was a little complicated to find and the museum is not big but well presented and organized and easy to navigate. The stories of the culture of the Secwepemc people, government involvement, and the boarding school were all well told and illustrated. I am originally from Kamloops. It was good to be home again! We were visiting family so we didnt go anywhere special, but I recommend going to Riverside Park. More to see and do that we realised. Only stayed for one night (arriving early evening and leaving first thing) on the journey from Vancouver to Banff. We grew up in Ashcroft so we know Kamloops very well and Kamloops is a very welcoming city. Most hotel properties are 3-4 star just not Scots Inn. We dined at Moon Walk by Prestige where we stayed which is 5 star, and White Spot as well.Guest review byJanet Williams LakeCanada

The location is also close to downtown Kamloops. *Btw - don't trust Google Maps to get you there. It kept taking us someplace else!* Staff were friendly and accommodating. It's also quite quiet, so you can't hear the traffic much. The staff on the breakfast shift were helpful when asked to get things. Our room had a great sized TV and fridge and the toiletries were really good, especially the conditioner.
