Great location on the outskirts of town with a lovely view from the room. There is a restaurant in the facility and a full breakfast was included with the stay. All staff we met had a positive attitude and were very friendly. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was good. The pancake maker wasn't working and the person who was 'filling up' the food went promptly to tell someone else and he came and took the machine apart. The check in staff were very friendly. When we arrived, we asked if there was a unit with a microwave and he apologized as they were upgrading the units and the one assigned to us didn't have one. The building was kept very neat and clean; people emptying the garbage cans..... Tim Horton's nearby so that we could grab a bite to eat for dinner. Excellent stay.

The courthouse hotel is in a great neighbourhood. It’s peaceful and has a wonderful view of the lake. There is a wonderful grocery store right because the hotel Getting around the city is easy and there are fun places close as well

The city seemed clean and safe.

The city seemed clean and safe. There are many familiar box stores and it had a Swiss Chalet which we enjoy. The landscape is picturesque. Kakabak Falls is half an hour away and we went there. The roads seem pretty well laid out so it was easy to find where we were going.

Thunder Bay is a lovely place.

Thunder Bay is a lovely place. We liked the waterfront area, Sleeping Giant Park, Thunder Mountain and for food we liked Anchor and Ore, Lot 66 and Sweet North Bakery. We highly recommend Thunder Bay for a weekend jaunt and visit.

Ugh, Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seriously a letdown.

Ugh, Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seriously a letdown. I went there once and it was just so boring; there's nothing to do! The weather was gloomy and the scenery was pretty depressing, to be honest. I wouldn't recommend visiting this place, unless you like being disappointed. Just avoid it and save yourself the time and money.

Thunder Bay is very beautiful for nature lovers and people...

Thunder Bay is very beautiful for nature lovers and people who love great scenery. Very multi cultural and the people are friendly and accommodating. Most all the stores found in Toronto are there. If you want a great burger try Burger Barn. Not top mich to do on a Sunday evening around town but when the Art Gallery opens up as well as Costco coming to town the variety will increase.

We had a nice visit!

We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)

This is the coolest hostel in Canada! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the walks they recommended in the area. The location is absolutely perfect, with breweries, cafés and restaurants around. Very short walking distance from the waterfront. The place is sparkly clean and nicely decorated. There's everything you need to cook, the couches in the main area are so comfy and the morning muffins are to die for.

We booked a queen ground floor, pet friendly room. The room had an exterior door, which was nice to have, but it was very drafty. Included a coffee maker, and small fridge without a freezer compartment. The water was hot with a strong shower head. The continental breakfast was OK with hot hardboiled peeled eggs, cereal and waffle maker, juices coffee, fruit, yogurts, muffins, and bagels. Very expensive considering

Thunder Bay is a town that is either in steep decline or on its way up. But as it is now it has little or no charm. Yet this hotel was an exception. The lobby looked like some something out of a transient hotel but our room was magnificent and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.
