Everything was good, but after check in on system the room key card did not come out. I was looking for it everywhere. It would be good if the system says collect your room key below from the machine or put a sign so we can see where to pick it up after finish check in. The extra cards should be removed from the front desk table because it confused the guest. Nothing shows what to do if we did not receive the room key card automatically from the machine. Lucky i had idea to check the screen do check in again saying i lost my card because there was no other options to choose? Then i received second room key card. The first card did not appear. Thank you

This guesthouse was very friendly and welcoming and located close to the old town. It is top rated for food in the town, although we didn't eat there, the restaurant was very busy. Parking is located in front, in a public car park and the receptionist has a card whereby you pay 12 francs a day. Our room was spacious, clean, super comfortable bed and homely. It was all very relaxing. Breakfast, although a small display, had everything - fresh bread, croissants, fruit, yoghurts, hard/soft boiled egg and a small selection of meats & cheese. We appreciated very much the 'help yourself to coffee machine' which is always the best thing ever! Super friendly staff who spoke English with us.

I booked this apartment with the expectation of a smooth experience, especially after paying an additional 40 CHF for early check-in. Unfortunately, I received the access code two hours late, which completely defeated the purpose of the early check-in and disrupted my plans. I reached out to the host to request a partial refund, but have not received any response even after 24 hours. This lack of communication and accountability is disappointing. The apartment itself was clean and nicely decorated, but the poor service and handling of this situation left a negative impression. I would caution future guests to be aware of these issues before booking.

    Not in my nature, but I disliked about anything in this recent booking. 1) The hotel management only informed us about constructional works 24h upfront our arrival. The works had a huge impact on site exposure. 2) The two rooms had an extreme noisy airco 3) the sheets on the bed were winter bedding, extreme hot in the middle of summer creating discomfort 4) the breakfast was quite absent, no choice, no bacon and eggs, no meats... extremely poor 5) very poor hotel despite earlier read feedback... very poor

    I picked this hotel due to the relative closeness to the A1 highway as I needed a short overnight sleep while driving across Europe. I arrived at 4 AM, yet I could check in without any issues or delays. My room was a decent one with some nice views to the nearby mountains, everything was clean and comfortable enough for an overnight stay and my dog was welcomed too. Also worth mentioning, they have a nice, huge private parking.

    Very clean and bright rooms, very quiet, at a very reasonable price. Good continental breakfast buffet, however missed eggs and bacon. Convenient location with bus only 50m from hotel towards old town of Aarau and train station. Excellent (though expensive) hotel restaurant, great food and wines.
