Hotel staff were formidable. They even kept our luggage at the hotel the day we checked out so that we could spend the day visiting the area. We ate at their restaurant too and we really loved it. Schaffhausen is beautiful and an ideal location to visit the Rhine Falls and the beautiful Stein am Rhein. Hotel is located near the train station and it's easily accessible from Zurich airport. Deluxe room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Highly recommended.

I liked the location (a nice walk from the train station) and the quality of the hotel. Breakfast was great and tasty, placed in a very nice room. My room was also comfy. The hotel crew is also kind, and the restaurant has an excellent kitchen. I took their daily menu which was great and flavorful. All together was a short, but a nice stay, and I gladly would return to the same hotel at another time.

Ideal accomodation for car travellers, located in remote and quiet area. Great value for money! No chance to find similar in Zürich, it's more expensive there. 30-40 min from Zürich center, 10 min from Rheinfall. Seems to be family hotel rebuilt from old private house. Obviously with no 24h counter. However lady on reception waited for our arrival that was around midnight! You can warn about late arrival by phone, Room is not large but very well designed. Towels, shower gel are available. Very comfortable bed! Adaptor for unique (but idevices compatible) Swiss power outlet availble on reception. Euro are accepted.

There was a building where we were able to store our bicycle. If you are cycling there is a bike stand with tools and a pump over the road from the hotel next to the bus stop. The location of the hotel is excellent being situated next to the Rhine. It has lost of character and the food is excellent. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
