We had a warm welcome to the beautiful hotel. There was a special, calm and relaxing atmosphere in the place, perfectly located right by the train station and close to the lake. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was good as well as the dinner in the hotel restaurant. All staff was extremely helpful and friendly to us and our dog. The garden where we dined was super lovely. We loved our stay!

The Hotel Albrici is steeped in history at every turn, and the owners are proud of the history. The main hotel has a couple of rooms where the original flooring, panelling etc has been maintained. The ceilings are fantastic. When busy, the hotel has other rooms just down the street. These are still in a historic building. The rooms are very comfortable. And everything is central.

I come from England where we have this concept of good or bad service, which is in essence an opportunity for the customer to throw a tantrum. In Le Prese I discovered a different paradigm - perfection of presentation and taste can be an art form. What am I talking about? I’m talking about how this great hotel in its iconic lakeside location has moved with the times in keeping with its heritage. I’m talking about the cheerful dedication of the staff. I’m talking about the perfection and attention to detail of the cuisine and about the devotion to local sourcing. Ok that’s what I liked about it.

We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. The hotel is full of charm, blending historic character with tasteful modern touches. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, featuring a spacious and relaxing bathroom. As vegans, we appreciated the extra effort the hosts made to provide us with suitable breakfast options. We’ll definitely stay here again — next time we hope to try the restaurant and bar, which were unfortunately closed during our visit.

Nice hotel with a very good personnel.

Nice hotel with a very good personnel. The restaurant offers a varied (but not too big) list of menus, some with typical ingredients of the region, such as Posciavo's red polenta (really good). The breakfast is simple but with all the components you need to start your great day.

We were taking a train trip through Switzerland and this was perfect for an overnight stop. Really close to the train stop, a very good restaurant, very friendly staff and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely bedroom with spacious lounge area. The breakfast was also good. Thank you for a nice, but short stay!

Lake Poschiavo is a lovely place for a stroll.

Lake Poschiavo is a lovely place for a stroll. Nearby are fields planted with all kinds of herbs and their diverse scents. It's a shame that the village of Le Prese doesn't offer much in the way of evening entertainment. However, Poschiavo is just five minutes away.

Both villages are situated in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape; it has a calming effect, offering peace and quiet, and the cuisine is of a very high standard. The wines from the neighboring Valtellina region are of excellent quality.

Unlike Poschiavo, Le Prese is quiet and not very busy.

Unlike Poschiavo, Le Prese is quiet and not very busy. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not far from the train station is Lago de Poschiavo, and a walk around the lake is worthwhile, offering fantastic views of the mountains and the Valposchiavo valley.

Ideal for hiking holidays, relaxation, and long walks. A small, cozy village that still offers everything you need. Poschiavo, the nearest larger town, is a 5-minute drive away. Excellent public transport connections. Several good restaurants. Also ideal for families with children.
