Very welcoming and helpful staff. I would especially like to mention the following hotel employees: Lawrence, Julietta, Fabio, Bogdan and Adi. Magnificent view from the room to the lake. The room is comfortable. An unforgettable magic experience of visiting a Japanese restaurant Minamo with a chef Yutaka Kobayashi. Every dish was like a piece of art. Definitely come back again and will recommend to the friends.

Spectacular stay - one of the most magical places I've ever stayed overnight. During my visit, we awoke above the clouds to watch the sunrise, and the experience is simply stunning. The room was perfect - comfortable, clean and more tastefully decorated than other mountaintop hotels I visited in Switzerland. Since all food has to be shipped up to the hotel, the quality of dinner far exceeded my expectations and the dining room is beautiful and classic. Staff agreed to an early check-out to allow me to descend on the first funicular run, which I appreciated.

I highly recommend this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here , the room the view everything was great. The stuff are super friendly. I was hesitating a bit to book because many people were complaining about climbing the stairs to reach the hotel but I found out that you can use a slope instead of the stairs if you are using GPs to get there by bus get out one station before what GPS shows. As I discovered the gps only shows the route where you can only climb the stairs to reach the hotel. However if you get out one station before there is a route where you can use slope ( I know no one wants to use stairs if they are carrying heavy luggage ) I would definitely stay here again if i ever come back highly recommended.

    Lucern is a beautiful city with so much to do and see.

    Lucern is a beautiful city with so much to do and see. The scenery is stunning the day trips you can do are limitless & It’s that good it would be an amazing place to live. Visit the lake and the many day bars along the foreshore at sunset for a drink. You don’t normally associate Switzerland with amazing food however the seafood & the fresh meat were of the highest quality. We also visited Felsenegg Restaurant almost next to the Liv Appartments and this unassuming restaurant was as good as any restaurant anywhere in the world. The service, food wine list and attention to the dinners was amazing

    A beautiful and happy place with plenty to see and do - provided you are clever enough to carry every possible gadget for charging your phones and are lucky enough to get into the accommodation you book. Buses, trains etc are very convenient, and stores like CO-OP are convenient places to pick up essentials - as long as you are aware of the expenses involved and do all you shopping before 7pm!

    Honestly this was one of the prettiest towns I’ve ever visited. The architecture is amazing, the nature is stunning. The clothing shops are so nice. That being said, it’s also one of the most expensive towns I’ve ever been to. All the other places we visited in Switzerland were less expensive. Still, totally worth it. 3- 4 nights is probably enough.

    A beautiful city to relax in.

    A beautiful city to relax in. I am amazed the population is only 80,000 people! One of the buskers had a super voice and and was playing an unusual zither. I recommend putting your camera away and looking with your eyes, listening with your ears and feeling with all of your senses, otherwise how can you truly experience this place?

    Luzern is an ideal base for a holiday in Switzerland. As an historic city it has much to offer, and the setting is idyllic, surrounded by stunning scenery and the expanse of the lake. I loved exploring the old town, the art galleries, and the charm of the Hotel Schweizerhof where I enjoyed a superb breakfast and experienced old world Swiss hospitality at its best. I would love to come back!

    Excellent location for train and bus stations, easy walk into old town. Room was reasonable size with comfortable bed. Good shower over bath. Very quiet at night. Good value for money in Switzerland. Staff friendly ans left our bags as we were early for check in. All hotels give free transport pass for central Lucerne. Didn't have breakfast, as plenty of eateries within a few hundred yards of the hotel. Lift up to rooms and coffee and tea available in reception area.

    Great hotel, ideal location- we had a car and there is a big multi story car park across the road which the hotel do a good rate for. The hotel gave us free transport pass for around Lucerne & we used the train station which is a 2 min walk to go to the centre of Lucerne in 7mins. So handy and extremely easy. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were lovely. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

    We and our little one had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Balm! The location is beautiful—peaceful and scenic, yet conveniently close to Lucerne. What really stood out to us was the food; every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The restaurant alone is worth the visit! We’d gladly come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and delicious getaway.

    Very happy that we chose Waldstatterhof as our stay at Lucerne. It is a fabulous hotel and Noraly was amazing. We were given a room upgrade. The hotel was spotless clean, room was spacious, sound proof and had a great mattress and pillows. The breakfast was sumptuous. Very centrally located and has all the new facilities while being a heritage building. Amazing place
