Great location, beautiful view, clean and tidy room. As it was off-season for tourists, I was the only traveller in the hotel during my stay, but the manager was still very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was well organised and delicious! The manager prepared an extra croissant for me every day after learning that I like croissants. The shower gel in my room was taken away by a previous guest and the manager replenished it with two, lent me a hairdryer and provided me with extra pillows on request. If you are planning a trip to Château-d'Oex or Montreux, I highly recommend staying at this good value hostel. I will be coming back very soon!

The room was super clean, comfortable bedding, soft towels and quality amenities. The view from the room towards the mountain was like a cart-postale. Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh warm bread and a variety of options. Great place to stay!

Perfect location. Fabulous apartment. Exceptional host. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need. The BBQ is a very nice addition. Wonderful location, friendly host and very easy check-in. The sauna is the main attraction in this studio, of course (second only to the mountains). The studio had everything we needed for a short stay and was the perfect place to relax after a full day of hiking.

    Montbovon is a small village nestled between two villages.

    Montbovon is a small village nestled between two villages. There isn't much to see - it's a convenient stopping off point for you to explore the Fribourg area without paying too much in accommodation fees. In terms of food choices, you'd be better off either eating at the hotel, or going to a nearby town to buy food before heading back to your hotel. That being said, the area is GORGEOUS in winter, and if you time your visit correctly, you can see the glorious mountains around you covered in snow.
