The location was perfect for us, as we frequently crossed the border into Italy, and also travelled up into the lakes of Switzerland. The hosts were warm and welcoming, along with their hospitality, which was attentive without being intrusive. Our morning breakfasts were at an additional cost, however, the amount of food was unbelievable, as well as there being such a wide variety of freshly cooked pastries, lattice’s and deserts, along side traditional breads, cheeses, meat and fruit selections. With my partner being a vegetarian, our hosts made sure that her dietary needs were met, along with a daily explanation, which we found extremely understanding and adaptable. The scenery and upkeep of the grounds were exemplary, and there was a clear sense of pride in it’s appearance. Our room was bright, airy and spacious, with every attention to detail met. We opted for an apartment with a kitchenette and balcony, where everything we needed was already in place. Really very well thought out and of good quality, which was a great touch. We look forward to returning on more of our travels across Europe in the future. Thank you Gianni and team, you made our stay extremely comfortable and equally enjoyable. Scott and Rebecca

Truly loved the location, the beautiful view, the lovely garden and pool, the tasty and carefully selected and home made breakfast and of course the exceptional friendly and very hospitable employees - they are outstanding and deserves a special mention. I highly recommend this gem!

Newly opened, beautifully decorated, air conditioned bedrooms, great facilities, family-run and extremely friendly. Set on the banks of Lake Lugano, the terrace, where you have breakfast/ drinks has amazing views across the lake. The breakfast is outstanding- freshly baked breads to start, followed by homemade waffles, and finished off with any type of eggs and bacon. Fabulous orange juice and tea/coffee. The owners also recommended an Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk away, and even reserved a table for us. The food and staff there were amazing too! Villa Patria is a little gem! Can highly recommend!

This place is fantastic! It's exceptionally clean and welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind—our room was ready early, which was perfect since we arrived feeling unwell. They really went above and beyond, even without us asking. This was our second trip to Lugano, but our first time staying here, and it was by far the best B&B with a smooth checkout.

Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
