The hosts have been exceptional in their execution of the concept, a very peaceful and ecological hotel in a magical locations. The food, the spa, the atmosphere were all perfect. And of course, the cross country piste is world class.

A beautiful family-run hotel in a magnificent part of Switzerland. The views along the Goms valley were outstanding. My room had a view along the length of the valley to the mountains around the Furka Pass. I was given an upgrade to a larger corner room which was extremely comfortable with a king-size bed, desk and sofa. The couple who own the hotel gave me a lift from the station on arrival and back to the station on departure. Breakfast was very good with an outstanding selection of different bread. Ham and/or salami was for you to slice yourself on a traditional machine. Excellent coffee. One real novelty was a multi-purpose tap on the landing providing chilled, sparkling and boiling water.

Everything was amazing! Great rooms, very comfortable! Fabulous breakfast, awesome restaurant! It has a proper sauna, top spa, a well equipped weight room with a community aspect that i loved. Just the most lovely view you can ask for when visiting the Swiss Alps. The staff? Amazing! Thank you Simon, Robert, venezuelan breakfast lady i forgot the name and a special thank you to Stephenie, you are the best! Will definitely return, highly recommeded!

The village is very small. No shops. Oberwald is nicer.

The village is very small. No shops. Oberwald is nicer. But it's perfect for walking and cross-country skiing. An ideal starting point for ski tours. Everything is easily accessible by public transport. We had an excellent dinner at the Riverside restaurant in the evening. In Oberwald, the Waldkaffee (forest café) by the cross-country ski trail had very good soup and cake.

There are good restaurants in the neighboring village.

There are good restaurants in the neighboring village. The infrastructure there is also better. For example, the Hotel Weisshorn in Blizingen. It offers good food with a wide selection and is half the price of other places. Most other restaurants have a limited menu and are expensive. Therefore, it's also worth driving to Fiesch and eating at a pizzeria there, for example, about 15 minutes by car from Gluringen.

Perfect for a relaxing stay.

Perfect for a relaxing stay. A quiet mountain village close to all the major towns in the area yet far from the crowds. An excellent base for excursions and visits. The beautiful church and the village with its characteristic wooden houses, as well as the historic wooden bridge over the Rhone, are worth a visit.

Gliding from Münster airfield is a popular activity. Hiking in summer and cross-country skiing in winter are top-notch here in Goms. The protected village centers are a feast for the eyes. Urban sprawl from new buildings and second homes is (still) minimal. The landscape is magnificent.

Reckingen has a small supermarket with a good selection, a butcher with top-quality meat, and a bakery. The bakery has limited opening hours. These shops are within walking distance of the accommodation. There are three restaurants where you can enjoy excellent food. There is a small, picturesque train station. The trains always run on time. You can take the train from Reckingen to places like the Matterhorn, but you'll need to change trains once.

The hotel lives up to expectations for its location and...

The hotel lives up to expectations for its location and amenities. It's located on Furkastrasse, around 1,300 meters above sea level, perfect for a night's sleep and getting your body used to the heat before climbing above 2,000 meters. The surrounding village is very quaint and well-kept. Excellent cheese shops.

Fabulous hotel hidden away from the main road. Every single one of the staff were super friendly. I liked it so much that I booked a second night during my first night dinner. If you are in the area I highly recommend Joopi. Considerably cheaper than the other hotels nearby which is an extra bonus.

The location of the hotel is a good one if you want to quickly reach the cable car from Fiesch. We rented 2 rooms with a large terrace and a very nice view. It's a good option for a night, especially if you're traveling with a dog (like us).
