Location was excellent for trip up to Mount Rigi and boat across the lake to Lucerne, literally next door. Hotel and outdoor area absolutely stunning, magnificent views of the lake, staff are fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Room was great , huge bathroom and so clean, there is an excellent coffee station on each floor which always had plenty of everything that you need. Excellent breakfast,lots of choice

The staff were all extremely welcoming and quite simply, lovely. My daughter of 4, who doesn't speak a word of German, said one of the waitresses/hosts was now her 'best friend,' and she was sad to leave. Really absolute A+ service throughout, always a smile. The breakfast was terrific as well. Delicious cappuccino and a broad selection of everything. Bread, croissants (laugen, even!), yoghurt, pastries and cake. My daughter went to the buffet four times; we've never seen her enjoy breakfast as much as here. Oh, and the fresh orange juice was delicious, too.

A wonderful 2 nights spent with a friend at this property enjoying nearby hikes in the beautiful scenery and a relaxing visit to the spa facilities. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.

Nice little village situated halfway the mountain.

Nice little village situated halfway the mountain. No cars allowed but the trains stop right in the middle of the village and the cable car to the lake is almost as close. Hiking trails are very nice and provide plenty of views. Not many restaurants but the one open provided nice food. There is one shop with all necessary items. A bit expensive but when food approaches its overdue date, it's offered with 50% discount.

Mount Rigi is one of the most beautiful areas on Earth.

Mount Rigi is one of the most beautiful areas on Earth. Rigi Kaltbad is a start point of hiking with the breathtaking views over mountains, lakes and alpine meadows. It is a car-free area, so one enjoys clean air, clear views and bio berries and vegetables grown on the alpine slopes. Rigi-Kaltbad means pastoral landscapes, peace and absolute harmony.

For being on top of a mountain, there are a lot of things...

For being on top of a mountain, there are a lot of things that are easily accessible. We did some very easy hiking along a wheelchair accessible trail as well as a couple of side trails. The spa is pretty special, as long as the pool going outdoors is open. There are a couple of good restaurants and a couple of mediocre ones. Everything costs what it does in Switzerland: a lot. But it's possible to find pretty decent hotel deals.

Wow what a view!! and so peaceful once you are up there. Very helpful and approachable manager, who helped us get to the hotel when we’d taken the wrong route, and booked us dinner at a nearby restaurant. He has done a wonderful job bringing the hotel up to a better standard - a work in progress but already a very comfortable and memorable stay. wonderful,walking routes from the hotel.

The spa is very good and much less busy in mornings than afternoons. It lived up to expectations for sure. The hotel was good and we thought the food was enjoyable - breakfast in particular has an excellent selection.

Rigi is a wonderful location for anyone, local or from abroad, to visit. The hotel is easily accessible via rail. The building structure is a beautiful mid to late 1960’s, which we love!
