A very charming little castle just above Lake Constance nestle in a beautiful garden, walking distance to the lake. The rooms a spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. Don't miss out on the excellent restaurant! The 4 course menu is an absolut must! Modern German kitchen from local produce. Delicious! The service is very friendly and accommodating! Same goes for the breakfast: very friendly service and local breads, marmalades and cheeses.

Everything a traveller requires was already in place and the host probably is an interior designer, we have not seen such great aesthetics and practical arrangement in a home. Tucked away from the town but at a walkable distance. This is a great home to stay in.

The hotel was very friendly and parking was very easy.

The hotel was very friendly and parking was very easy. Our balcony had a marvellous view of Lake Constance. It was short walk downhill to the lakefront, with various acxtivities in the marina area (including a curry wurst stand). We ate in the restaurant at the hotel, and the food was just fine. The breakfast selection was reasonable for the area. (no fried eggs though!) We would certainly stay again

It was simply wonderful to stroll along the water; Lake Constance is beautiful everywhere. We had a fantastic holiday apartment, furnished with great attention to detail (even a lantern by the bed), highly recommended.

Beautiful view, friendly staff, excellent cuisine, and a generous breakfast buffet. The shower cubicle with its glass partition separating it from the bedroom and the sink being located outside the bathroom are a bit unusual and take some getting used to. I would definitely go back; it's highly recommended!

It's a long, narrow area with many opportunities for relaxation. Beautiful hiking trails, swimming in Lake Constance, sailing, and boat trips. The city of St. Gallen with its World Heritage sites, cathedral, church, old town, and museum. The many cheese dairies. The beautiful alpine slopes with their grazing cows.

It's the ideal place to stay.

It's the ideal place to stay. The town is located 5 minutes from Lake Constance, 20 minutes from the Austrian side and half an hour from St. Gallen and also from the very pretty little village of Appenzell.

A truly perfect stay, without exception! Great room, perfect view, highly motivated staff, and first-class food! And the public transport connections were so good that the car stayed in the hotel car park for the entire stay!

Location and lake secenery is spectacular. When arriving to hotel is very clear that castle is real and not one of those artificial places that looks only good in photos. Hotel staff is very friendly. Great place to do hiking around the area. When driving to hotel, I recommend to take longer route that arrives to hotel from the top of the hill.

Lovely hotel with good access to St Gallen with train stopping on the hill. Late evening taxi ride though was expensive as no trains. Views from room are lovey across the lake.
