Rothenthurm is a great place to stay due to the railway running through the village, You don't need to have a car to be able to vist a lot of attractions within 60 minutes in any direction. It was not possible to pay in advance, in the restaurant where we were supposed to pay, the staff was very rude that it was not their business. He made us pay in cash into the desk drawer, without a bill and then they said the payment wasn't there. I gave the money and I have witnesses to that. Before the staff went to collect the money, there were other guests and the cleaning lady after us. Very unpleasant behavior indeed. I do not recommend.
