I stayed four nights in Saar grund Hotel Adler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, minimal, and had an amazing view of the mountains and river. The staff were all very friendly, especially Ms.Linda she was incredibly kind and gave me great suggestions on places to visit. Also, the location offers easy access to both the city and mountain area. Highly recommended.

Nice clean, big and comfortable apartment with a kitchen that has the necessary stuff if you want to cook. The surroundings were really beautiful for hiking and chilling. We went with our dogs and they had a blast exploring. We also used this as a base to explore Zermatt. Although Tasch is a 45 minutes drive from here, we didn't mind it.

It's a nice place if you know what you're doing (hiking / climbing / etc.) but the village is small and the choice of restaurants is extremely limited. Saas-Fee provides much better options but the buses don't run too often in the evening -- plan with care.

A lovely quite village, perfectly located to get around the area. The Saastal card allows free travel on the buses should you wish to visit the other villages in the Saas region. Plenty of restaurants an local shops. The Saastal card also allows free trips on the local cable car.

Saas Grund is a small village in the Saastal.

Saas Grund is a small village in the Saastal. The Post autos are going mostly every 30 minutes through Saas Grund to Saas Fee and Saas Almagell . The Saastal card does help you to go around free on the cable cars and Postauto . There are plenty of hikes everywhere . From easy to difficult and expert . In Saas Grund are 2 supermarkets : Coop and Denner . In Saas Fee you have also a Migros . For hikers it is a perfect place !

Not my first, not my last for sure.

Not my first, not my last for sure. Easy to reach from Visp with the bus, service during peak periods count on many busses. In town you find all you need. Ski slopes excellent (when with enough snow) Very old fashion town, for classic alpine style lovers. Very friendly locals, mostly multilingual

Sass-Grund is perfect place to stay.

Sass-Grund is perfect place to stay. Sass-Fee seems to bit a bigger skiing areas so we skied there and not in Sass-Grund. There is (as least it was last year) a separate ski pass for each resort which make skiing in both places during one week a bit more expensive. The ski bus only takes about 15 min to get to Sass-Fee. It usually takes about an hour from home to the top of the metro in Sass-Fee.

The staff was very hospitable. Isabelle (a manager) was particularly kind of helping us to have a pleasant stay. We had a beautiful view of three mountains from our window. We enjoyed a rich breakfast. After ski there is a very charming restaurant to visit at the hotel. We tried some soup and tomato fondue. It was delicious and worth trying! We are definitely coming back.

Everything was perfect, saastal card is included. Every room have shower and also balcony. Spacious rooms and kitchen for cooking. Nice accomodation in heart of Saas Grund. Shop is 2 min by foot.

Traditional Swiss hotel but recently renovated. Didn’t understand why it wasn’t full. The welcome was lovely. Couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast was great. Bed very comfortable.
