Very nice place: good location, large rooms, cleanliness. The kitchen has a lot of things (including coffee) that can be useful for preparing breakfast or dinner. The owner is very polite, reliable and kind. In fact, I am in great admiration of the place and I got a lot of pleasure from staying there. This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had, everything was great from our arrival. We were welcomed with a glass of wine in the sofa by the chimney during check in. We then stayed for excellent dinner at their restaurant La Torre - delicious pasta and tiramisù. Breakfast was abundant, with homemade cake, warm crunchy bread, and a cook who prepared eggs on the spot - would recommend the omelette. Staff members were really friendly! After a day of skiing in Zermatt, we could relax at the spa area, which was quiet and very well equipped (2 dry saunas, 1 humid sauna, jacuzzis, showers, an area for reading). Wish we would have stayed longer at this great hotel! Promised ourselves we will be back soon - grazie, merci for the stay Grächerhof!

A great starting point for excursions.

A great starting point for excursions. Much quieter and more relaxed than nearby Zermatt. We always went up to Grächen for shopping and meals, as our accommodation was just a short walk away. A fantastic holiday destination.

St. Niklaus was somewhere at the bottom of the valley, and I saw little of it. However, the beautiful village of Grächen is located on the mountain. It's definitely worth a visit; the architecture is picture-perfect, like Switzerland. The mountain views are stunning, with one of the highest peaks in the Alps, the Weisshorn, visible. Hiking trails range from easy walks to SAC T3.

Great location in walking distance of the train station, small but cozy chalet with all the amenities one could wish for. We were 4 people wanting to visit Zermatt for a few days and it was perfect for us! Very fair price for what you pay elsewhere in the region. Simple process: Got the keycode 2 days before the stay, host was communicative and friendly. Obviously don't expect a 5-start hotel quality experience, but our expectations were perfectly met.
