We were thrilled to find the Hotel Adler. We could have stayed for much longer. Very welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast and a very comfortable room with a large bathroom. Recently renovated, it totally exceeded our expectations- and we look forward to returning.

Wonderful location just next to the lake. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The top rooms overlooking the lake have stunning views and the rooms overlooking the garden have big balconies. Most of the rooms are suitable for people with disabilities so they are very large, super practical and very well isolated for noise.

The location in a historic building along the Rhine river in old town was superb! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dinner was delicious. We were able to park across the street for a couple of hours and there is another lot nearby as well. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was pretty standard, eggs made to order. Everything was fresh and stocked. Highly recommended!

An excellent starting point, situated on the lake, for hikes and bike tours in all directions. Well-marked hiking and cycling trails. Public transport options (bus, train, and boat) for visiting the towns and villages in the surrounding area.

I had dinner at the Hotel Feldbach.

I had dinner at the Hotel Feldbach. It was a stew with pork tenderloin, Spätzle, and some beans. For 42 francs, I was a bit disappointed. Sorry, I eat better at home. I took a long walk by the lake, which I enjoyed. The bed was definitely too narrow for me. I was afraid I'd fall out of it during the night.

In the middle of winter, in the snow, during the COVID...

In the middle of winter, in the snow, during the COVID pandemic. Landscapes, hikes (Steckborner), sunsets, walks along the lake... it was fantastic. Ideal for visiting Stein am Rhein and Schaffhausen. We had a great restaurant, all to ourselves. Excellent. Warm welcome. Highly recommended.

First, the positives: • Great location – on the edge of the lake, lush lawns, pleasant outdoor lakeside breakfast/meal/drinks ambience, walking distance to shops, supermarket and (less expensive) eateries; • The rooms were new and clean; • Storage space in the rooms was at least (barely) adequate (unlike many other hotels, in other countries); • The wifi worked; and • The meals were good

The hotel is located in a quiet location, next to a lakeside park. Comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Very good breakfast in the very nice restaurant nearby. good wi-fi. Free parking. The restaurant (where lunch and dinner can be also served) is in a beautiful old building with a splendid terrace near the lake. The staff is very nice and the service is very good.
