Take a Fresh Look at Zurich
As the financial capital of Switzerland and headquarters of several large companies including FIFA, there’s a good chance that if you’re in Zurich you’re here on business. But that doesn’t mean this city doesn’t have a playful side.

During the day, the Lindenhof hill offers a stunning vista of the heart of the old town, Niederdorf, which is filled with shopping avenues, winding alleyways and restaurants. At night the many club doors open offering a range of live music and DJs.

There is a lot to explore in the city, as my trip was short, I took a round group tour in which I had the opportunity to explore more about the old town and the most important landmarks. Fred's Hotel was next to the railway station and opposite the bus station. This enabled us to travel to Zurich by train and walk to the hotel. Several restaurants are also conveniently located in this area. The close proximity of the bus station enabled us to participate in 2 excellent sight seeing tours without any hassles. I work in Zurich five days a week, yet I rarely get to enjoy all the city has to offer. It was great to take advantage of a conveniently-located hotel so that my partner and I could enjoy seeing Tosca at the Opera House, and then meet some of my work colleagues afterward at a self-described "dive bar" just off the infamous Langstrasse. It is super easy to get around Zurich using the tram system, so you can see many things in a short amount of time. The location was perfect - so close to the bus stop and easy access to old town and airport. We felt very safe around the area and all over Zurich. The beds were comfortable, and the 4 beds served our group of 8 very well! The hot water was plentiful (on demand). It was great to have 2 bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room were great!
