Stunning lakefront property. We came here on our honeymoon and could not recommend enough. Pucon really was an amazing town. Josephine at the front desk was so helpful and even stayed past her shift to help us decide what local activities we should do!

We loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The property is on an expansive piece of land with a beautiful lake and Villaricca Volcano in sight. The room is spacious, lovely wood floors, lovely views, in room coffee and tea service, refrigerator, and room darkening blinds. The bedding and pillows are lush and fluffy and comfortable bed. It is impeccably clean, has a lovely little pool and excellent breakfast served at your table daily. It is definitely a boutique hotel with extra little extravagances that make it feel special. It is definitely best to have a car if you are planning to stay here as it is not accessible from the town of Pucon by foot. It is a short drive to town and good access from the hotel to other areas of interest.

One of the best hotels we have been to. It is beautiful in its design, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was especially good with freshly baked goods, fruit and many more. We really enjoyed our stay.

The view on the lake is amazing. The staff is super friendly and responsive. The food was delicious, simple but homemade breakfast. At night the food at the restaurant is amazing (congrats to the chef and the team). We took the chalet in front of the lake and could enjoy the fireplace.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year. Food is not consistently great but Trawen never disappoints. Try your sopaipilla with queso and merken! Walk a bit out of the center to a frutería and load up on berries and other great produce in the summer. Souvenirs/artesanía are better outside of town (and further south). If you find something cool, just buy it, you might not find it again :)

The city center is very beautiful, it is very safe and we can connect with nature without walking for so long, it is very easy to buy souvenirs and eat in the best places, homemade food made by traditional families, Ubers are very cheap and we can learn a lot of culture, without a doubt a fascinating place.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to. Driving off Rte 5 (the main spine road of Chile) we nearly stopped at Villarica but were very pleased that we had pressed on to see what Pucon was like. Both are great towns but we are glad we stayed in Pucon. The beach on the lake was lovely and there are lots of lively restaurants and bars in the small town.

Such a lovely town with a bustling centre with plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops. A short walk took us to the beautiful, although busy, beach by the lake. On the other side of the peninsula was the marina and the opportunity to hire a yacht. Ever present was the amazing backdrop of the volcano, occasionally giving off a puff of smoke. Our trip was in summer, and clearly winter is equally attractive for snow sports.

Pucon's a beautiful city where you can do as much or as...

Pucon's a beautiful city where you can do as much or as little you want, especially if you're young and adventurous. But there are also plenty of nice shops and restaurants if that's more you're thing. And the scenery is gorgeous. The only real downside is that it's an expensive place by Chilean standards. Even by American standards, it's not cheap. It's also about an hour and a half drive from the nearest airport, which only has flights to Santiago and Punta Arenas. There is good transport between there and Pucon, though, so you don't have to rent a car if you don't want to.

Pucon is perfect.

Pucon is perfect. It is a very small town, like a village, with lush nature and very friendly locals. If you enjoy peace, relaxation or enjoying nature with trails and sports, this is the ideal place for that. The volcano that makes up the city makes everything even more magical. You can also go there to ski, enjoy the snow and bathe in the hot springs.

We were given breakfast voucher on arrival, we had it the next morning. The Canadian-Chilean dude running the breakfast tried hard and made an effort. Food was good...for Chile. (which doesn't have great selections for breakfast) Good coffee. Avo toast. A smoothie. The wait staff were surly and slow...we didn't eat breakfast again there so its only 1 meal. We ordered cocktails in the evenings....good drinks. Pricey, but thats Chile for you! Reception staff very pleasnant.

Kari Mapu is beautiful, located between Pucon and Caburgua, cabines are very functional, clean, well kept. It is quiet and super well administrated. The complex has additional amenities such as pool, hottub and implements such as bikes and boats. The best is the cordiality and professionality of their owners and administrators.

Staff are super friendly, great location and lots of green spaces. They have the cutest dogs. A little separated socially if you’re staying in the dorms in the main house or in the private accomodation at the back of the property. Don’t skip Pucón!!
