I think the best part was reaching the hotel, driving through the desert to the beach was a real adventure, it was fun. The hotel is nice, there are just few rooms so not many guests around, no music besides the swimming pool area which is really nice and far away from the rooms so there are no noises. The hotel has a Tulum style decoration, open air shower in the bathroom so you can get a shower looking at the moon. The beach is really nice, huge with enough beds for everybody. If you're seeking a quiet and private space away from noisy guests, this is the place. Staff was really nice and the owner too. I suggest to buy food and beverage before, as the restaurant closes at 8.last but not least, ac was working perfectly.

Amazing hostel that's little bit out of the main backpacking trail in Colombia (only hostel in Mayapo).Jasmin and Toto made me feel really welcomed and gave me all the instructions how to visit Punta Gallinas. Hostel is in front of a beach and they have nine very friendly dogs to keep you company. (they also have 9 cats and 2 chickens) Dormbeds are comfortable and the dorm was clean. It was windy so there weren't any mosquitos. The hostel has a big yard with hammocks to chill. Toilet and shower (bucket) were clean and even though they don't have running water (normal in this part of Colombia) everything works really well. Internet and electricity is available until sunset and after that you can chill in front of the bonfire with the dogs. The Mayapo village 30 minute walk away, but there are restaurants really close to the hostel.
