The house is delightful with great deco with wide floor boards and high ceilings. It’s clean and quiet, being just a 5 min stroll from the town plaza. Luz the host, is a lovely woman with a passion for sharing her Colombian heritage. My Spanish language level is beginner but she really helped me to speak it as much as possible.

Everything, it’s difficult to choose something. Starting from the accommodation, you could see the care they put on building each cabin. The Colibrì cabin has stunning views on the river and the surrounding forest. Waking up listening to the sound of the river and the birds is unique. Pablo and Melissa welcomed us warmly in their hacienda, speaking about Colombia, its nature, its people and its food in a passionate way. We did the permaculture tour with Pablo who walked us through every sector of their farm speaking in details about native plants and their future plan to expand the farm and you could feel his passion about preserving indigenous plants and protecting the environment. Also dinner and breakfast were cooked with love with super local products. In addition Pijao is really a gem, away from touristy places. It’s a pity we spent only two nights there. If you have a chance, book your stay here and you wouldn’t be disappointed!

We were SO SAD we only stayed there for one night! Definitely an amazing place to come back to. The hosts are amazing people, so caring and thoughtful! The place is absolutely stunning (btw they have built and renovated most of it themselves!!), we slept so well and the bed was very comfortable. Very fair price, and the food was great as well!

An oasis in Pija. The owners are amazing beautiful Colombian family that do their best to make your travels very special. The food was delicious made with love. The room was gorgeous and the beds and blankets were so comfortable. Never saw so many birds at once. I was in bird heaven. The walk down to the village is so fun and picturesque then you can take a willy up for 30 COP.

It's a small town with beautiful views and a fantastic café, Luqman, although its menu could use more variety. It's perfect for a walk, breathing fresh air, and relaxing if you're planning to explore several towns in Quindío. It's very close to Córdoba, where Inti Park is located. Highly recommended.

Pijao is a place to enjoy nature.

Pijao is a place to enjoy nature. It's largely unexplored, so there aren't any well-marked trails or paths. You have to forge your own way, explore, and discover. Patience is key, as its nickname, "Slow Town," is well-deserved, so take your time. There's good coffee, restaurants with a wide variety of options, and the place is ideal for disconnecting and socializing with the locals.

Beautiful town, very friendly and chatty people.

Beautiful town, very friendly and chatty people. I'm eager to explore more farms and learn more about coffee and the town. You have to visit Don Jesus's farm, called Finca Granada y Miel; he's a true nature enthusiast.
