The staff was really nice. It's located 500 m from the observatory (there are 5 observatories in Tatacoa desert) which is convenient if you want to do the star gazing. It's also 5 min walk from a few restaurants. They offer breakfast, luncb and dinner for a small charge. They rent bikes and offer a tour to the Grey and Red desert which we took as it was nice hearing about the fornations, how the desert (or rather dry tropical forest) came to be. There's a lot of different types of birds in the garden. Since it's in a desert, there's no electricity, meaning there's no fridge, but they have ice available if you want to cool your drinks. There's no wifi which we didn't mind as it was nice to relax and just enkoy the nature. Staff was very helpful with organizing the transport back to Villaviejas. The room was nice and quite spacious, clean, but very hot (which is to be expected in the middle of the desert). There's a fan in the room.

We enjoyed our time here. The people were very kind and helpful. It is located in the middle of a quiet place on the edge of the desert and invites you to relax. We were provided with water. Very easy to reach from Neiva with a shuttle bus. From Aipe you can even reach it with a ferry.

Gloria and her family were the most welcoming people we met at Colombia. The place is extremely clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. Shower is great, a fan is enough to sleep in a cozy blanket, Gloria and Hormer will help you with anything you need to visit the desert, but by far the most amazing thing we did was to know the amazing work they are doing in their "Finca"to restore the vegetation and bring back the native animals.

Breakfast was quite good, fruits + hot beverage + juice + eggs + bread... they were very attentive and went out of their way to improve the experience, i.e. giving extra hot water for my sweet hot chocolate. Or letting us leave the car for a bit inside their parking lot after the checkout. They are also honest about conditions at the desert if it's raining, length of the trips and recommendations with guides.
