We stayed at ballena rey hotel for 2 nights. It is the best hotel we have ever stayed at during our trip in Costa Rica. WiFi and parking are free, and this hotel also features a beatifull swimming pool with a waterfall. Gilberto is an amazing and lovely host. He is really helpful and funny. We needed to do our laundry and he arranged to do it without any problems. We are highly grateful for that. The apartment is brand new and has modern design and the matress is really comfortable... we slept very well. It is totally worth it! We highly recommend it if you want to stay at modern and clean place and be surrounded also by lovely people.

The owners, the service they provide is super. The facilities with the pool is actually very luxurious and the swing makes it v unique. The breakfast is top they prepare from a menu and u get a fruit snack as a starter. The rooms or more so the suites, bc its a whole detached little eco cabin w big shower. Super clean. The location is perfect to the beach and park .

We came for 2 nights in tent. We finally stayed 4 nights. I could just stop by saying that. This place is just amazing: I cannot tell about the rooms (looks like there is rooms close to the pool and small houses for families), but concerning the tents it’s just the most beautiful stay we had in Costa Rica. The tents are like 5 m away from the river, into the forest, very quiet and peaceful. You can of course swim into the river if you are not too cold and you have all the wild animals around you such as monkeys and birds. The owner, David, gave us everything to cook with and mattress. He’s very helpful and always trying to find solutions. You have access to sanitary (not luxurious but efficient enough) and you have also access to the pool. Last but not least you are close to a maxi pali (10/15 mins away by foot) and to the Uvita beach (which is free, same distance than Pali). Just Better than all the accommodations we saw in Uvita and super cheap !

Lovely sized comfortable room and beds, with a little patio area out the back to relax on and a walk in wardrobe in the room which was really helpful to hang wet towels in and store our bags. Quiet and felt very safe. Lovely pool and a large kitchen / communal sitting area which was really comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare a good breakfast and coffee. We had a great stay.

We enjoyed our time at the Cabinas. The room is decorated with good taste and it was nice to cook breakfast in the kitchen in the yard while the birds were flying around. It's a short distance to the beach and the location is good anyway, restaurants can be found just a few minutes' walk away. The host Scott is very friendly and helpful.
