The view is amazing. The private pool is so nice and the nature just outside the terrace is beautiful. The room for 3 persons was spacious enough and the little kitchen with the refrigerator was very helpful.

The room was basically a small private bungalow with a unique feature: an outside toilet and bathroom in that it was part of the small outside garden but sealed off from view. I thought this was amusing though I can imagine some might find it bizarre. Another interesting feature were the birds visible when eating breakfast. I don't believe in feeding the wildlife but it was a pleasure to see so many birds including a few Aras (red parrots). We saw more there than in any of the parks. Breakfast was good and the pizza was good too...made by an Italian so it had to be. Great stopover place when travelling from the north pacific coast to the south atlantic coast.

We had the small house next to the pool with the lounge outside, which was so beautiful. You look at the pool when you wake up. Breakfast is delicious. The only thing I want to say is "excellent" in everything you could possibly wish. We felt like in tropical heaven.

Marie was very welcoming. The room was great and very modern. The location is good and we saw scarlet macaws in the trees on the property. The breakfast was all home made and of a high standard. The pool was warm maybe a bit small but still lovely.

This is a great spot for birders.

This is a great spot for birders. Walking the road to the lodge in the early morning was the best birding I've ever experienced. So many species seem to travel along the ridge. The birding tower was a great spot for late afternoon/sunset views and observations. The room was fine. The bed is not the most comfortable and there is no sound barrier between rooms, but I wasn't there for relaxation.

It's a natural hideaway, very close to San José (1.5 hours).

It's a natural hideaway, very close to San José (1.5 hours). From here, it's easy to get to Playa Mantas, Playa Blanca, Jaco, or Hermosa (30-40 minutes). The weather is humid and sunny, so be prepared and bring mosquito repellent.
