The location is incredible: beautiful but calm and peaceful (I really couldn't believe that this place wasn't overrun by tourists, less beautiful places are), colibris at breakfast, incredible (but challenging) trails with waterfalls at the reserve (you actually need two full days for the reserve, although I only had one because I also visited Cloudbridge). Also a big thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff: they made great suggestions for my hiking day in the reserve, they drove me to my cabin with a car because there was heavy rain when I arrived, meals were great, ...

The hotel is as close as you can get to the entrance for the Chirripo National Park. The rooms are nice, simple and with everything you need. The staff is really helpful and nice. There's even a physiotherapy place located in the hotel. The bonus of this place is that you can leave your car park there until you come back from the hike and they also lend you the showers afterwards.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Amazing views all around, a lovely, well-kept garden. A sense of peace and tranquility. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and one supermarket. Our cabin was clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. We were also provided with coffee and sugar for the room. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was kind and helped us with every request. Breakfast on the balcony with the birds chirping around was delicious. We recommend the stay and we would be happy to return.

The hotel is a hidden oasis in the center of Pérez Zeledon. We were delighted with the attraction of the native birds that the staff feed fruit so you can view them while seated for dinner, drinks or the pool. The linens were so clean, fresh, as you expect. Everything worked well. Nothing was broken down or signs of neglect. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The security was reassuring so you can relax. The location allows you to escape the busy of the city but easily access by walking everything you need: gas, restaurants, church, pharmacy, shopping for anything, fresh food markets. I had haircut and nails done nearby. The staff are happy and you can see the guests are enjoying facilities. The design is well planned. The bathroom sink and mirror are outside of shower so no steamed mirror or waiting for sink if someone is using shower or toilet. Great attention to detail. I could see people could work from this facilities remotely and be very well equipped.Children are welcome. The pool was refreshing. Accessible for people with limited mobilty. Hot water was excellent. The restaurant was delicious. I enjoyed a great chicken soup. Great place! I will definitely use Zima as my hotel in San Isidro.

This place is just wonderful. An oasis! There is a beautiful garden with lots of trees and flowers. The bungalow is cozy, clean and comfortable. And the staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed here a night before we left for Cerro Chirripó, and also after. We got a warm welcome again after we finished the hike, which was lovely. They can arrange a taxi for you to bring to the start of the hike. And also a packed breakfast. Oh, and you get a bottle of wine (complimentary). So nice. We recommend this place!

It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and watch the Costa Rican wildlife, we were able to spot a lot of animals while here. We had a very peaceful stay, the position is great, the centre of Rivas is easily accessible. The hosts are incredible! They have been very helpful throughout our stay, with many suggestions and tips about places to visit and activities to do. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend it to everyone who’d like to experience and authentic stay immersed in nature.
