I stayed there for my first night in Costa Rica, and could not have imagined a better place for that! It is pretty close to the airport in a good neighbourhood. The host family is extremely friendly and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable and safe, which definitely was one reason why my entire stay in Costa Rica was so good.

Authentic costarican hotel. Beautiful pool with loungers, beautiful flowers and amazing cacti, view of the mountains. Comfy clean rooms, nice bathroom, no air but high ceiling with a ceiling fan we were comfortable in february. Hostess was welcoming and accommodating, great breakfast outside. We had a short walk to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Shuttle to airport not included but the hotel arranged it for us.

The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. The windows must be double glazed as it’s so quiet! excellent food, the staff are so friendly and accomodating. We stayed the night before we flew out of San Jose and it was perfect for that. Would definitely recommend!

"Escondida" (hidden) is really not exaggerated. The Airbnb is really an oasis is an otherwise rather ordinary and rather busy city what Alajuela is. But within the Hacienda, it's all peace and quiet, with a wonderful view on a rather large garden an a swimming pool with the perfect temperature. The rooms are impeccably clean and spacy. But what interested me at least equally was the fact that I discovered actually flies of the fly family I am specialized in, which was a great surprise. Hence the score 10/10 for our residence.

We stayed at Apart Hotel Villas del Río and really enjoyed it. The apartments are spacious, airy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. What really stood out was the staff — everyone was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re staying in San José!

Close to the airport. We got an upgrade to a bigger room, very comfy bed, super clean. The owner is a very nice lady, she gave us advice on restaurants in the area and we got some chocolates from her. Breakfast was good

Convenient hotel, close to the airport.

Convenient hotel, close to the airport. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly, kind and attentive. Only downside was breakfast, which was a bit limited. Food was good and fresh.

The area is very nice.

The area is very nice. There's a good food court with a lot of variety. Like Moose Pizzeria, which I highly recommend. Excellent service. There's also a supermarket called Fresh or something like that which has a wide variety of prepared food. I got around by Uber and also walked; there are bus stops nearby for getting to San Jose.
