Our weekend escape to this hotel was a blissful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled within a vast natural landscape, the thermal pool provided a perfect respite, inviting us to unwind and recharge amidst serene surroundings. The hotel's luxurious facilities and comfortable accommodations ensured that every moment was spent in utter relaxation and indulgence. From lazy mornings lounging by the pool to adventurous hikes through the nearby trails, our days were filled with a perfect balance of leisure and exploration. Evenings were a symphony of tranquility, with starlit skies casting a magical glow over the landscape. For anyone seeking a rejuvenating weekend away, this hotel offers an idyllic sanctuary where time seems to stand still, and worries fade away.

The property had amazing views and lots of bird life. I saw groups of parrots and a toucan in the short while I was there. The suite was also very well organized and beautiful, lacking nothing.

It was great the man was amazing and very helpful. The woman also was very helpfull. Loved the owners.

Our visit to this lodge was unforgettable!The rooms and all the property have a very special charm:) Everything was clean and very much thought about. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing and plenty, they cooked eggs from their own chickens! Owners' hospitality was exceptional, it was pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple! We hike the trails and visited hot springs pool nearby. Highly recommend this place for families and couples, you will not regret:)

We stayed here for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Johnny (I think he is the owner or manager), could not have been more hospitable. He welcomed us with a coffee and snacks after a long journey from Nicaragua. He arranged a room with 2 single beds into a double room with air conditioning even though the hotel was busy. He also helped us with transport and recommendations for activities, as well as showing and telling us about all the wildlife that surrounds the hotel. He is so kind. The hotel is very cute and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and delicious, and you eat it whilst sat outside listening to the birds and nature. Would absolutely stay here again!

beautifull jungle walk in the property with access to the beautifull river. Tucans and other birds visited us every morning. two minutes from the villa, is one of the nicest walks to a great watrfall.

I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

The main host was such a nice guy and was super helpful. This lodge is very responsibly run and operates in a very eco friendly way
