YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :) The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict! Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself. Very sweet, small hotel where we stayed briefly en route between San Jose and Guanacaste, but would be fine for a longer stay. Very nice hotel grounds leading down to private beach. Plenty of loungers, tables and chairs etc. Varied food menu and what we had was good quality. Nice pool area, friendly and efficient staff. We were very happy there and happy to recommend it.

We were so pleasantly surprised by these amazing cabins! The craftsmanship is astoundingly beautiful. We were also thrilled to learn that there is a delicious restaurant on site. We ate there twice and got take out once. Everything was super yummy!! I highly recommend the pitahaya agua fresca:) Karol was an amazing hostess and very easy to communicate with. This was a special Costa Rican experience that we will never forget!

This was so worth going out of our way for - it is a magical property built with love, set in a magical setting with stunning views, great nature, great walks and efficient, helpful and kind hosts. This whole venture is clearly a huge labour of love built on great values and it shows with everything they do and provide - including completely fresh milk daily from the ‘nearest cow’ at breakfast!

Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!
