Amazing staff, great location. Attached is a really good restaurant. I even got a better room than I had booked (quieter) for no extra charge. They have parking onsite. Close to everything in town and Poas National Park. Even if only for one night, I would skip the city of San Jose/Alajuela and come here instead!

The domes are awesome! We arrived and it was raining so we couldn’t see the views from the dome, but we absolutely loved staying in it. It had everything we needed and as it was cold, there were extra blankets to keep us warm.

Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. This was such a beautiful accommodation in a fabulous location for accessing Poas National Park. We loved the cosiness of the tent, the outside seating area and the beautiful setting too. It was really well equipped with great attention to detail. Excellent communication with the host and a hot shower too!

We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words!

We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words! Can not say enough about this place. We stayed in a 'dome/yurt' and it was beautiful, well appointed and excellent in every sense of the word. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat!

This was a beautiful property.

This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed the foliage and flowers and all the little sitting areas. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we required. The only thing that could be improved upon is to have a breakfast selection. It was the same thing every morning.

It's a very beautiful region, quite different from what you see in Costa Rica. The nature is truly beautiful, and there are several activities that are well worth the trip, such as Blue Falls or Catartas del Toro.

The volcano and its surrounding hiking trails. Self-guided tours. The reservation system is outdated as there are no longer any guides. The reservation price does not include payment for on-site parking (2800 colones). Lunch or dinner is available at the Bar y Restaurante Lo Que Tu Quieras (8km from the summit) with a breathtaking view.

From the time we arrive we felt more than welcomed.. everything was prepared for us in the most effective way..the location of the hotel was like a fairytale..our room has a fantastic view ..the breakfast was so hommy and delicious.. And above all I have to say that the owner was so kind and friendly and generous..she make everything she could to make our stay a fantastic experience.

The room is not fancy but very clean. we had a Mountain View room and it was super clean and cute. It had everything we needed. The location is perfect and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything. The restaurant on site is pretty good and we’ll visited by tourists and locals alike. Very good value hotel in Poas.

The receptionist lady on the 27th in the evening was extremely nice and welcoming - gracias! The hotel is a good option if you want to stay in this area. We had breakfast included, even tho booking reservation didn’t have it as a highlight

The hotel room was spacious, and there was a heater available. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very nice and attentive. I guess the location must be wonderful with good weather conditions.
