The owner, who designed and built the place, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. All the rooms are built to have a spectacular sunset view, and we felt well-protected from the wind that blows through Santa Elena as the dry season approaches. An absolute jewel box of an experience. (Plus the coffee at breakfast was especially delicious.)

The most amazing hotel! Loved everything about it - the fantastic location (those views from the restaurant balcony!), the lovely helpful staff, delicious meals at the restaurant and brewery, beautiful clean rooms, watching humming birds from the hot-tub. So many little touches that made the stay special.

Breakfast was exceptional. Fruit coffee juice and toast to start witha choice of 5 cooked to order mains including a burrito, waffles, granola and youghert. Hotel is brand new with a lovely minimalist design, polished concrete floors, wood and glass over three blocks. Didnt fully appreciate that this is run to generate profits that go entirely educating local kids. Amazing. Dutch couple running it are inspiring. Great bedding options ( we got 3 singles)
