Location was great, not too far of a drive for the day of arrival it placed us very close to our first activity on the following day. Poás Volcano and Bajos del Toro Blue Falls trail. The restaurant was great, we had a very tasty warm meal upon our arrival and breakfast was great. The whole facility was beautiful and well groomed. Staff were nice and extremely helpful. They helped us book online the tickets we needed while we used their computer.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Interesting place, a perfect point to start a visit to the Volcano Poás, outstanding view from the room, very kind and helpful staff and very good food in the restaurant. Good prices. Little complaint: it was quite cold inside during the night.

    Good roads but narrow as usual thru towns. Different landscape with the farms and greenhouses and coffee plantations in rolling hills. Waterfalls. Loved the drifting clouds coming up the valleys in the evening. Cool evenings and warm days.

    We went to La Paz Waterfall gardens and it was an amazing place. You could easily spend an entire day there. Also the area is known for strawberries. We bought some from a roadside stand and they were delicious.

    Very pleasant highland area stay base with short distances with private car to Poas volcano and La Paz waterfall area. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, some king of personal touch brought to mind old-style country villas in Eastern or Southern Africa - very easy to feel home. Very good birding opportunities on the hotel ground, around the hotel and on the trails. We were sad to leave the place after two nights - it would have been so nice to stay longer.
