Loved this hotel. We wanted to stay not at a resort and in town, and thought this place was perfect. The staff were great (especially the house keeper). They cleaned the room everyday to a high standard. The kitchenette had good facilitators to eat a few meals!! Close walk to restaurants / bars and the town. We also rented a car (a must on the island) and found the parking easy. The cafe within the hotel (named James) was also delicious. Thanks for a great stay!

Quite literally everything, the hotel was in a beautiful location, and the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and soo comfy. 100% would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed getaway.

I visited Curaçao with my parents and decided to stay here for a few days. This is a recently renovated mansion, the rooms and shared spaces are delightful, the staff is friendly and helpful. Walking distance from the bridge and other interest points downtown. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood, there is parking available right in front the hotel or in the back. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything! The pool the bar the location was within walking distance to main town. They even upgraded us to an entire suite for the same price. It had a kitchen, washer, living room and door that opened up to bring the outside in as well as outdoor large patio with lounge sun chairs. It was perfect wish we could have stayed longer. Will stay there next time again for sure!

It is not over.

It is not over. We were at Spanish Water View Apartments for 1 week and moved to Willemstad for 2 more weeks. Then we are off to Aruba for 2 weeks more. This is our fourth visit, that tells you something about how much we like this place. It is fantastic.

The capital is stunning!

The capital is stunning! We went twice, once on Sunday, (when quiet). Most shops were closed but we were able to get great pics and avoid crowds. We spent our last night in Pietermaai. Thursday is Punda vibes night so we took in the fireworks. We had the great fortune of seeing the Queen Emma bridge swing open for a boat entering the harbour and enjoyed delicious meals and unique cocktails.

The people of Willemstad were friendly and helpful.

The people of Willemstad were friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place with a little treasure down every alleyway. I stayed for 8 days and found something new almost everyday. I rented a car for 3 of the 8 days and was able to explore the entire island. Definitely make a trip to see the flamingos! I was able to park on the side of the road and walk to where they were feeding. I also recommend the sip and paint by Vibe & Paint, so relaxing and the view was amazing! I was able to choose my picture(pre-drawn)paint inside the lines(bc I can’t draw a stick person)and it was the perfect size for packing in my carry on. The “snack” that comes with it, along with a complimentary drink, was more like a meal. Such a great value at $50. The car rental(for 3 days)was also great value at $147. Some of the food was a little pricey but everything was delicious. As a solo traveler, the sip and paint was the only actual excursion I did but there is so much to do without paying a dime. Exploring all the culture and history of the island is only a short walk from anywhere. Driving is just like in the US, watch out for other drivers and you’ll be fine. I downloaded Mapsme.com and was able to navigate easily.

Willemstad is very nice and colorful city.

Willemstad is very nice and colorful city. I loved floating market. Curious thing happened to me when I was parking a car I rented. I did not have coins and parking watches do not accept credit cards. An old man is siting on the parking and he is eating his sandwich. He calls me and gives me a coin to pay parking. I tried to give him dollars in notes, but he refused. He probably gave me his last coin. That is just to see how are the people of Curacao.

We drove thru the main town by the bridge on Sunday and it was very busy and couldn't find a place to park that was close for my elder parent to walk and sightsee..but it looked like it was the center of the commerical tourist part of town.

Willemstad is a unique place on this earth.

Willemstad is a unique place on this earth. It is one of the few places outside of the Netherlands where Dutch is still spoken. Since my name is Willem, I had an urge to visit this city, and I was not disappointed

The spacious apartment is located on a ground floor of two storey apartment building complex. It has a decent size pool with a few pool chairs. The complex is gated and you get an assigned parking spot. It feels safe. You need a car to get to the beach, supermarket, restaurans... As it is usual in Curacao you have to prepay for electricity. The process is very simple and extensively explained by owners. The price is reasonable.

Sydney is a really great host! He wants to help you with everything, knows a lot of good places. The room and bathroom are also very clean. It should be said that these are separated from your bedroom. Every morning you get a nice breakfast, which is different from the pictures on booking, but still very decent. Especially with the current prices in Curaçao! I would recommend this b&b if you want to explore Willemstad!

The hosts were so lovely and welcoming. They helped us with great recommendations for Curacao and brought us snacks and icecream to the pool. They even offered us a ride back from the car rental branch. Our room was nicely decorated with great interior design and very spacious. It had a balcony with a great view over the garden and the pool. Also parking was very easy.
