Jablonec is a small town in North Bohemia some 100 kms north of Prague. It sits in a picturesque region and visitors can be sure of good opportunities for outdoor pursuits. In the region there are really interesting attractions and travel is helped by a very good bus service. As a town that was once the centre of glass bead and...
As a town that was once the centre of glass bead and jewellery making, Jablonec has so much history. The architecture is beautiful with great examples of Jugendstil and Art Deco buildings. The Museum of Glass and Jewellery is well worth a visit. The town is friendly and the local restaurants are good. The reservoir offers a nice place to walk not too far from the city and the surrounding forests are wonderful for hiking. The room was very spacious, bright, well equipped and had a very large bathroom. The breakfast was very rich varieded and delicious. The full body oil massage was fantastic. It's retro atmosphere is entirely a time capsule, with stylish fittings and furniture. The staff is extremely nice and the breakfast is just the perfect way to start the morning.
