We had to travel a lot, so we didn't use the breakfast service, but the lunch dishes are delicious. We are very grateful to the staff for the opportunity to have a stress-free departure day and strict rules to move out at 10:00 or 11:00. We just left the key in the post box on our way out at 11:30 as it was much more convenient for us on our route to another city and the staff didn't see a problem with it. During the trip, such extra minutes and the attitude of the staff encourage you to return to this hotel.

I had a very nice stay, the location is excellent with private parking off the street, I was offered vegan options for breakfast and in general everyone was really nice and welcoming. I used Karel IV as a base for visiting my friend and her family and I was very cozy here. Turnov and surrounds are truly beautiful, so it makes sense for me to come back and enjoy trips with my friend and her family. I will happily stay in Karel IV again.

A little over 40 years ago, the city had much more to offer.

A little over 40 years ago, the city had much more to offer. There was the Hotel Crystal with a restaurant and dance bar, as well as a bistro for quick meals. A large glass factory, a clubhouse with a large ballroom, and many small shops, such as the Mlechak House.

Beautiful surrounding nature, skiing in winter, hiking in...

Beautiful surrounding nature, skiing in winter, hiking in summer, water sports. Close to Bohemian Paradise, Prachovské Rocks, Harrachov, etc. The town is not big, but it offers what a person needs - pastry shops, bakeries, technical monuments, etc.

It's a hilly landscape but it has its own charm... and...

It's a hilly landscape but it has its own charm... and that's what we were looking for here, so we were completely satisfied. All we needed was a local pub with draft beer :)... we had to bring that from Brod on our way back from our trips.
