We look forward to returning because there is no where better to stay. The personal touch of a family run hotel is priceless. We had excellent recommendations for activities and restraints. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable as well as authentically German. We already have friends booking at stay because it is in the perfect corner of the walled city -- near the cathedral, close to the main square, right at the beautiful garden gate, and in easy walking to excellent dinner options.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect. Our room was very nice, quiet, spacious and super clean. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Outdoor parking for only 10 euro per night on back yard, but it is a bit tricky to get there with five six turns on narrow streets.

Great room and concept :) There was quality in every piece of equipment, thoughtful solutions. Very functional space and a fantastic terrace where you can spend a nice time with other guests. Very comfortable bed :)

The chalet was absolutely wonderful! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, welcoming, and incredibly cozy and comfortable. My children were so thrilled with the place that they didn’t even want to leave the house! I truly hope to return and stay there again – it was an unforgettable experience!

This is one of the few cases that the hotel is more than expected. The staff was very polite and the room was very clean and warm (during January with snow). Also the breakfast was huge and fresh. In addition to that the restaurant for dinner was also very cozy and a very well decorated place. The overwell conditions in the hotel was an added value for having a relaxing and enjoyable time

This is a wonderful place. We hadn’t realised that it is a religious retreat house (Lutheran Evangelist) but that gave it an added feeling of peace. It is a beautiful old mansion right outside the town walls of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber (the river flows by the mansion) and one can walk into the centre of this beautiful medieval town in about ten minutes. The rooms are large (ours had a balcony) and have no TVs but this was an advantage for us!! The breakfast was the best we’ve seen, served in a magnificent dining hall. All the staff were wonderful and friendly. Our ambition is to return ASAP
