A post-industrial city with many nice spots mixed with some that are not too attractive. I would say it's the best what former DDR (East Germany) had to offer: very open, modernist city centre with a lot of green areas and good public transport with the worst: boring and ugly Plattenbau. Many refurbished XIX-century industrial buildings and interesting museums are a huge plus too (honorary first place goes to Museum Gunzenhauser). We have arrived in the evening and the first impression was not so great, the only site we have seen was a big factory with huge chimneys. Later, once we checked in and went for a walk, we discovered nice pedestrian area next to the hotel. It was quite and clean. A lot of parks, a lot of room between blocks, wide pedestrians, in the evening music everywhere. Fantastic feeling on the Wine Festival, nice. And friendly people in the city. Lots of bars in Innere Klosterstraße. There was beer festival during my visit. It was so crowded (in a good way). Karl-Marx monument (nischel) is marvelous. You see different residental buildings compared to west Germany. 3 days are enough to explore the city.Guest review byArtunçTurkey - 6.0
Transport was poor.
Transport was poor. Trains going to Chemnitz are from Democratic Republic of Germany, i am not joking .. First Class Coach was like Bangladesh trains quality. City is better then expected, but nothing touristic. I eat Chinese food. It was good.Guest review byM.CenkTurkey

The interior is decorated in the style of Marvel Studio heroes and it was great! The children were delighted! The apartment has a large corner balcony with a chair and chairs where it is pleasant to spend time in summer. The kitchen has a refrigerator, a touch-sensitive hob, a dishwasher and a washing machine, an oven and the most magnificent thing: a COFFEE machine that makes great coffee.
