Lovely place with such a welcoming vibe. It is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the owners go out of their way to make you feel at home and help you finding activities or restaurants in the area that fit your wishes (or dietary restrictions). Me and my partner have been travelling through Germany, specifically the Black Forest area, and this is by far the best hotel we've been to.

The property is in midst of the black forest and the experience is mind blowing. You have to stay to experience it. The view the tall oak trees just make this place serene. The forest room was an absolut delight: clean, spacious, bright, lovely decoration, great bathroom, colours... The staff was helful and assisting at any time needed. The little town of Wolfach is totally worth a visit and from the accomodation there are a few hiking routes. Despire being close to the railways, it was totally quiet at night. I cannot wait to get back for a longer time. Oh, and the parking is right opposite to the hotel!

Very traditional German hotel. Very friendly people. We could park our bicycles safely in the garage. Despite of the heat the room was very cool even without airconditioning. Very clean room and bathroom. The restaurant was great and there are some vegetarian options. The breakfast buffet was also great.

It is recommended to arrive by car.

It is recommended to arrive by car. The train stations Haslach iK and Hausach on the Black Forest Railway are each about 4 km away. Connections from there to destinations in the surrounding area and beyond are good to very good. The mandatory "KONUS card" (formerly "spa card") also offers free travel on public transport, in addition to discounted admission to museums, etc.

There's not much to do in the village itself, though there...

There's not much to do in the village itself, though there is a small supermarket. We stayed well outside the village, in a quiet location with excellent access to walks. A good map is helpful.

A very peaceful location, ideal as a base for walks and day trips, with little traffic. Breakfast and dinner are always served on the covered terrace with a 180° view of the expansive surroundings of hills, meadows, and forests. A beautifully landscaped large garden overlooking a small river. Generous and delicious portions of food. Super-friendly welcome and service. Large hotel rooms. An ideal place to unwind!

Super friendly hosts, fantastic breakfast (even with pancakes!), spacious room with great amenities. Dinner at the Käppele Hof was especially delicious: breaded veal schnitzel with Spätzle, potato salad, and fries!! It was absolutely amazing!!!

The hotel is located in a tranquil rural setting. Our room had a good sized balcony that overlooked the fields and woods to the rear of the property. It was very quiet. The room was immaculately appointed and clean. Very comfortable and modern. The shower room was very clean and well equipped. Eggs and pancakes are cooked to order at breakfast. There is a lift which is just as well as the accommodation is arranged over several floors.

This is a lovely hotel run by a nice couple who do everything to make the guests comfortable. We loved the restaurant, the breakfast (especially during the week-end - mostly local and unpackaged products), the bed, the fact of having a sofa in the room. We could also rely on the hosts for advice for activities. They speak English, too.
