The hotel is very chic, toiletries are also of good quality, breakfast room is very nice and all the set up is very classy, nice plates, tasty food, different choices of coffee, fresh fruit, nice and small glass jars for marmelade, very, very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. Our double bed was huge, there was plenty of room for two adults and two kids in the same bed! Switzerland is very close, 2 min away. Altogether it was a pleasant stay and we would most def come back.

Staff were super nice, the room was large, modern and very clean. The restaurant was fantastic quality and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. Free parking was great too.

Everything was awesome. We were warmly welcomed. We were asked if we prefer to stay at the ground floor or on the first floor (there are balconies). The room was pretty nice are very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast very delicious. The house is in a very quiet area, and not to forget to mention Mrs Hierholzer, she is the host and she is very friendly and kind. If you need something or help, she is guiding you and gives you useful tips. We were also looking in the vecinity for a rental and she asked someone if they have something for us and told us where to go to get more details. We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend this guesthouse if you want a quiet zone, a delicious breakfast and friendly staff.

The atmosphere of a family-owned hotel with state-of-the-art comfort and environmental consciousness. Rooms are so pleasant, and the passive-house technology guarantees comfort without all negative aspects of mechanical air-conditioning. I was lucky to have a room with south-facing balcony, and the bonus of spectacular chill-out moments in the sunsets after a day in the museums and exhibitions at reach from Weil am Rhein. Breakfast may seem overpriced, but it is indeed good value for money considering the care and quality of the service.

Stayed here for 3 nights to attend a concert in the Swiss Rheinfelden, explore Basel and Laufenburg. Absolutely happy about this hotel! + Great location in a quiet and very practical German Rheinfelden, yet very close to its charming historical Swiss "sibling". Also convenient to travel to Basel (~15 min by train from the Swiss side) + Spacious room with quite minimalistic décor but very comfortable. There's also a balcony with a table and chairs. Comfy beds, good bathroom, quietness, excellent sleep quality. + Friendly staff. The reception isn't open 24 hours but it's not a problem: we arrived late, but the instructions were absolutely clear, and we didn't have any problems getting into our room. + Very tasty varied breakfast. I was very happy to find lots of berries which are rarely offered at hotels. + Great value for money! (and after you check prices in Basel, - twice as great value for money!:) If again in this region, I'd happily return to this hotel. Really recommended!

Fantastic stay.

Fantastic stay. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a great menu and good wines. The breakfast was as good as ever! For us, this is the best stop on both our outward and return journeys to Italy and the Netherlands, respectively. Highly recommended!

The Vitra Campus with its architectural tour and the Musée...

The Vitra Campus with its architectural tour and the Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, France, are worth seeing. The restaurant at the Hotel Krone is very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant at the moated castle was fully booked, but the ambiance was fantastic.

The advantage is its proximity to Basel and Switzerland.

The advantage is its proximity to Basel and Switzerland. You can also avoid the frequent traffic jams near Basel via the Rheinfelden border crossing. Weil am Rhein and Lörrach are pleasant towns nearby. Check out Vitra in Weil am Rhein for its beautiful architecture and designer items. Inzlingen is located in the Three-Country Region, so the advantages and options of Germany, Switzerland, and France are within easy reach.

A beautiful moated castle is in the immediate vicinity, and...

A beautiful moated castle is in the immediate vicinity, and since the guesthouse is located on the edge of town, there are walking paths right nearby. However, the castle restaurant is only open from Wednesday onwards. Therefore, unfortunately, there are no restaurants within walking distance for travelers at the beginning of the week. The next available options are in the neighboring villages.

Conveniently located for visiting Basel if you're traveling by car. Bus connections are inadequate. There are plenty of bars/restaurants available, some of them very good in our opinion. The location itself isn't particularly attractive, due to a busy main road.

Inzlingen is a village right on the border with Switzerland.

Inzlingen is a village right on the border with Switzerland. Apart from a few inns and the moated castle, Inzlingen is a purely residential area. It is very quiet, yet Lörrach is easily accessible. Inzlingen is only reachable by car.

The appartment was wonderful! Clean, spacious, great beds, enough bathrooms,… We are a family of five (three teenagers and the us parents) and all five of us enjoyed it very much. Instead of booking a hotel in Basel, this was way better!
