The apartment built on the hillside was wonderful designed both with the furniture and the decoration, it was bequem, large enough. The view from all of the windows and terrace to the valley and the castle was incredible nice, the hosts were kind and attentive.

Super clean family run hotel, the family is super nice, the hotel is gorgeous and the breakfast is delicious. We were driving from Düsseldorf to Munich, and wanted to stop over for a night to rest and this hotel was great

Great midway stopover for our trip to the Alps from Amsterdam. Conveniently located a few miles off the freeway with parking at the front door. Good restaurant and bar make it a warm and welcome venue that does the job perfectly. Great breakfast selection.

A village like many others in this part of Germany. Personally, I'm not interested in walking in the woods or along rivers. The stop was a godsend to break up the journey, but what we found exceeded our every expectation.

Kreuzwertheim (Bavaria) and Wertheim (Baden-Württemberg) are...

Kreuzwertheim (Bavaria) and Wertheim (Baden-Württemberg) are places steeped in history. It's a good idea to plan ahead and decide what you want to see and do – there's a lot to do, but it's also enjoyable to stroll through Wertheim's town center.

You have a fantastic view of Wertheim, it's a 20-minute walk...

You have a fantastic view of Wertheim, it's a 20-minute walk across the bridge, a lovely riverside promenade with a small beer garden where you can watch the ships, and direct access to the hiking trails (Himmelreich)! We didn't need to use the car, as we could also take the train from Wertheim and access various hiking trails from there!

A well-maintained, modern town with good shopping facilities...

A well-maintained, modern town with good shopping facilities and infrastructure. Wertheim, the older, more established holiday resort, is easily accessible. Kreuzwertheim can thus be seen as an ideal starting point for many activities: cycling, water sports, hiking, and much more. It can be considered a retreat from which to start a new holiday adventure refreshed and rejuvenated.

The location is opposite the town of Wertheim on the other...

The location is opposite the town of Wertheim on the other side of the Main River. It offers good and direct access to the cycling network and is quieter than the bustling, touristy Wertheim. A very pleasant place to stay, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the town and castle from our accommodation every day. 👍👍

Kreuzwertheim is located on the opposite bank of the Main...

Kreuzwertheim is located on the opposite bank of the Main River from Wertheim's old town, where parking isn't very convenient. That's why we preferred Kreuzwertheim as our base. A short walk across the Main bridge takes you to the old town. However, Kreuzwertheim also has a nice little beer garden on the banks of the Main.
