The restaurant was closed because of ascension day, but the roomservice dinner on my terrace was just a perfect as a restaurant would have been. Fast and delicious. Room is beautiful ( new ) and very comfortable. Staff is friendly and interested.

The facilities were new and well kept. The sound isolation with outside is very good which is useful because of a small water drop in the river next to the building. It is a bit noisy with the window open but it’s a constant noise which doesn’t botter me much.

Our stay at Ferienhaus am Hennesee in Meschede was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were incredibly kind, responsive, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made us feel at home right away and added a personal touch to the entire experience. The location is simply stunning. Surrounded by peaceful nature, the area is perfect for long walks and reconnecting with the outdoors. The nearby trails offered picturesque views and made every stroll a moment to remember. One of the highlights is the close proximity to the lake. Although we visited outside of the summer season, it’s easy to imagine how wonderful it must be during warmer months—ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing by the water. The house itself was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether you’re a family with children or traveling solo, this place is perfectly suited to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable time. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

    The city as such was not very impressive (at least for us)...

    The city as such was not very impressive (at least for us) but the walks around the lake were great. On a sunny day people were sunbathing and swimming in the lake, alongside different boat sports. The area is very green, peaceful and pleasant. There are plenty of nice walks and you can really enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. We dined at Xavier Ranch (close to Meschede) and Geronimo (at Mohnesee) and both were really excellent.

    It is a very nice location with all facilities available. We had an excellent time, and we enjoyed a nice evening diner. The next day we organized a bbq with friends as there was a dedicated area for BBQ and even a separate camp fire area. Our children also loved the surroundings and the playground. It is also close to the Hennesee so you will definitely enjoy the walks in nature.

    The hotel was functional and met all our needs, the room was big and the bathroom was unique and very clean. The beds were big (long) but not too comfortable but they definitely served their purpose. The breakfast was good. Our purpose for being there was as a stopover on a journey and to that end the hotel was very nice.
