The host was very caring, kind and thoughtful. She brought us a new kettle and left cold water in the fridge ,Apples and new slippers for all of us. The accomodation was very new and clean and extremely comfortable..everything was high quality. The host was very helpful and her pets ,both dog and cat were also friendly. The surrounding woods are so beautiful and peaceful. Such an amazing view too! Thank you for having us

The information and help supplied before arrival was very useful in aiding us to plot our way there. The house has real character and made the time spent indoors nearly as engaging as the time spent outdoors. Some interesting innovation to provide modern facilities, particularly the bathroom, but it all worked very well. The location is excellent in that there are places to go, sights to see, things to do, food to sample all within easy striking distance. The setting of Dilsberg itself is superb: hilltop walled village with views down the Neckar River and narrow streets and paths to wander along. And then there is the food - a good restaurant in the heart of the village. It was indeed the special stay (or in my case, return) for which we had been hoping.

Beautifully fitted out and decorated common area and rooms. The suite I booked turned out to be bigger than I expected, and more importantly is very cozy and comfortable, especially the bed. The suite also has balcony with a stunning view of the river and Hiedelberg's old town from across the river. It even has a gym and an outdoor jacuzzi with lovely views located at the higher elevation of the hotel backyard. Because the property is located across the river from the old town, generally it is quieter as it is away from the hustle & bustle of the tourists. Nevertheless, it is only 5 minutes away on foot from the main bridge that gets you to the old town. The staff are genuinely friendly & informative - Luca is very efficient & accommodative, while Sofie is always welcoming. They kindly arranged for a pick-up from another small village I was at prior to the stay and the arrangement was hassle-free.
