It is close to Ramstein AFB.
It is close to Ramstein AFB. There is a bus that goes to the base. Another bus runs in front of the hotel that takes you to town and train station, but you could walk to the train station and town too. We loved the area.
We loved the area. Lanstuhl Castle our favorite with trails to walk, met interesting people, great view, touring the Castle, and their restaurant was lovely, good service, and had great food. We went to the castle twice. Hot Apple studrel with vanilla ice cream 1st day and a meal for the 2nd day. Delicious. We also went to Kusel and Queidersbach.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

I like the area, I've been here before and will go back. I like going to the Rhine, and sitting there looking at the ships going up and down. I'm going to be trying to go back in December so I can visit the Christmas markets, Ramstein is a good place to start trips to places like Saarbrucken and Heidelberg.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0
My only real complaint was the weather.
My only real complaint was the weather. Most of the time I was here, 3rd week of May, it was cloudy and rainier and colder than I expected. The hotel was very conveniently located, a couple minutes drive to get into town and visit shops and restaurants. Check in was seamless once we arrived, the woman at the front desk was very kind and explained to us everything we needed to know. The room was clean and the double bed was large.
